5-0 out of 5 stars Nick Knight, A vampire with humanity.
Nick Knight has more humanity than any mortal. When you purchase this trilogy and watch the last episode "Last Knight", then you'll know why Nick Knight has shedded his vampire killing for humanity.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally.
Finally we have the third season of the one of the finest TV shows ever.
5-0 out of 5 stars My last reviews were all trashed but i have to try again
ever since this series was canceled in what 1992 fans have been crying out.At first it was the first oneline attempt to save a show (most of the protest sites can still be found on goggle; and some still have protest letters you can send to the producers but it's all over now but the the shoutin' and all the actors have gone on to other projects). This show was goth before there was a word for goth.Emo before emo was a word. But both those tags are disingenous. This show was prophetic in that it depicted socially rejected people in the 90's before nirvana ever hit a chord on the guitar and before bevis and butthead ever hit the air.It was socially relevant before most shows had the balls to represent the rejected. Fans who know it and recognize it you must inform all the others who don't know what this series represents. While this is one of the most fan beloved shows on tv (the protests on its 3rd successive cancelation launched the very first ever oneline campain to save a TV show!) it has fallen into obscurity (look at the rankings on previous seasons).I will not say like my previous listing that this release is totaly for the fans. But, i will say all the fans owe it to buffy, angel, stargate, stargate atlantis, firefly, smallville, timecop, 24 (the lead from this series is a baddie in one of the seasons of 24 look it up!), battlestar galatica, highlander (movies and tv), lost, the prisoner, the avengers (yes the whole run), alias, wonder woman, dark angel, supernatural, the man from u.n.c.l.e, babylon 5, the tomorrow people , I spy, the X-files (which were also for the first five i think seasons produced in the same part of toronto), due south, friday the 13th the series, (i could go on but i hope u know what i mean by now that this series was the first in a line...) and many, many lesser known shows, buy this offering now. It is both a fan favorite and a pice of TV history. Many, many series owe thier life to this series. It's a must see. Many of the previously listed series (some are not, some are not listed! like i have all day to list them) derive some plot point of inspiration form this series. It is truely a must see for fans of the genre and fans of TV drama all around (like the smallville and the Buffy ref is in one episode only each i leave it up to fans to list it!) ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Love Story
This is a great love story, unfortunately it had a very poor director and could have been so much more. She tells her fiance she loves him and wants to be with him less than 24 hrs after she just lost her virginity to Noah, than she goes back to live the rest of her life with Noah. Its great she ends up with Noah but whats with this director.

5-0 out of 5 stars Renew your faith in love with this movie!
I do not know about any of the other reviewers, but, this movie had me sobbing. His relentless and unending love would make anyone want that kind of lifelong partner. I have not met anyone yet who has seen this movie and not been touched by it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Wish there were "4-7/8 stars" to select ...
... because that's what I'd pick. As usual, I don't want to synopsize any movie. It spoils it for me to hear the plot ahead of time. Like another reviewer, I was a bit put off by the ending (hence "only" 4-7/8 stars). It was tied a little too neatly in a bow. On the other hand, one particular scene shortly before the end made the final ending a welcome relief. Having just buried my father recently, I know (we all know) how ugly it could have been.

5-0 out of 5 stars Totally happy
I'm so excited to be having 90210 coming out on DVD. I was watching this show when I was six years old. I'm 22 now and it is still one of my favorite shows in the world. There has never been a better show out in all of the years that can beat 90210. I can't wait till it comes out so I can watch it everyday. It's going to be the best DVD ever.

4-0 out of 5 stars Beverly Hills, 90210 - Finally on DVD
One of the best series to come out in my humble opinion... it remained strong through 10 seasons of changes and topics and did it with style and kept things fresh... adding new characters here and there and old characters reemerging all the same.
5-0 out of 5 stars FINALLY!
After 6 long years, it will finally come to DVD.I have waited and waited and now...I couldn't be more excited. This was by far the best show on tv and brings about so many good issues. This is the king of drama tv.I am so excited and I just wanted to share my excitement! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars AND HOW WAS YOUR DAY?
This critically acclaimed series got off to a good start, with Kiefer Sutherland shouldering his complex lead role quite nicely. In watching 24's first season sequentially over a five day period, one can see that the series is really a soap opera with guns, and lots of dead bodies. The characters do some pretty stupid things, with Sutherland's daughter (a whiny Elisha Cuthbert) topping the list of dumbdoers with her Stockholm syndrome affection for a basically worthless guy who she thinks is okay because he helps her and mommy escape; but he's the one that got her in the mess in the first place.Cuthbert continues to do stupid things that eventually end up in getting more people killed and her father and mother in further danger. The disassociative amnesia plot with wife Leslie Hope is also a real hard concept to accept.Dennis Haysbert as the African/American presidential hopeful plays his role with stoic power, but his family problems tend to get tedious and repetitive, with his wife being a real pain in the buttuski (although Penny Jarold is quite good in the role).Sarah Clarke as Sutherland's sidekick Nina is quite good as is Carlos Bernard as her beau Tony. The cast overall is exceptional:Xander Berkeley, Richard Burgi, Zeljo Ivanek, even Dennis Hopper with his horrible Bulgarian accent is effective.Credit goes to the writers/directors for keeping things addictively entertaining, although the last episode is quite shocking in its revelations. All in all, 24 was a unique attempt at intelligent drama and succeeded on the most part.On to day 2, now, huh?

4-0 out of 5 stars An instant classic
The first season of 24 is the best, which is saying something because all of them are great. It is intense, fast paced, and not confusing like so many contemporary action shows and movies are.Do not buy this if you cannot afford to buy all of the seasons, because you will end up doing just that.

2-0 out of 5 stars Perfect fodder for Mystery Science Theater 3000
I purchased Season One, never having seen a single episode, on the strength of a friend's recommendation, and watched it in its entirety over the span of about ten evenings. I stuck with it only because my wife enjoyed it and I didn't want to be a spoilsport, which required that I suppress my urge to laugh out loud at the outlandish plot twists, which were many, and the cardboard characters.

5-0 out of 5 stars Significant improvement over Season 1
I'll begin by echoing the comments of what a relief it is that Season 2 arrives so soon after Season 1.Season 2 showed great improvement over the first one due to a combination of better actors who play more extensive roles, a change in focus for the show, and seemingly greater logistical resources for Bellisario that translated into better television.
5-0 out of 5 stars Thank heaven they didn't make us wait 10 more years for Season 2!!
I can't really review this DVD per se since it isn't released yet, but I just want to thank the powers-that-be for putting Season 2 out so soon after Season 1 was released.I am a huge JAG fan who still misses the show.I really enjoyed the Harm and Mac relationship, but since I didn't start watching JAG until about half-way through Season 2, I am really looking forward to getting Season 2 to catch up on the earlier episodes.I have Season 1 and I'm enjoying it immensely, but I won't be happy until they announce the release of the rest of the seasons. And I'll buy them all, too!
5-0 out of 5 stars JAG ON DVD!!! MY FAVOURITE TV SHOW ON DVD!!!
First of all, thank you so much to Donald P. Bellisario, the cast, Paramount and CBS! Thank you kindly for producing a "such clever and enjoyable" TV Show...

Editorial Review

Not an ideal choice for younger kids, this hip and violent animated feature from Disney was nevertheless a huge smash in theaters and on video, and it continues to enjoy life in an acclaimed Broadway production. The story finds a lion cub, son of a king, sent into exile after his father is sabotaged by a rivalrous uncle. The little hero finds his way into the "circle of life" with some new friends and eventually comes back to reclaim his proper place. Characters are very strong, vocal performances by the likes of Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, and Whoopi Goldberg are terrific, the jokes are aimed as much (if not more) at adults than kids, the animation is sometimes breathtaking, and the music is more palatable than in many Disney features. But be cautious: this is too intense for the

4-0 out of 5 stars Monarchies tend to create dysfunctional families.
Disney's "The Lion King" is a pretty good movie about a young lion cub, named Simba, who is to become king of a place called Pride Rock located in the appropriately named Pride Lands. I always thought that the part where Simba's father, Mufasa, is killed by his brother, Scar, was kind of tough to watch. On the other hand, from a historical standpoint, scenarios like these were at some point a commoplace reality, all because of an intense desire for power. The most memorable part of the film is the scene where Scar turns on the hyenas, to whom he'd referred as the "real enemy," then tries to make up with them right afterwards by calling them his "friends." The best part was the subsequent reaction by the hyenas to his double crossing.
5-0 out of 5 stars il'd love to give this 20 out of 5 stars
this movie was incredable. i don't understand how people can dislike this film. this movie's deep and intense story made it great for children AND their parents, a feat rarely accomplished. but rather than stay depressing and traumatizing, this film goes from drama to side-splitting humor within 13 seconds. the best part is that this is all done with seemless perfection.
1-0 out of 5 stars dont mess with classics
I give the original 5 stars, but why is disney taking all its classics and adding new songs to it? i was so dissapointed when i rented this and there were new scenes in it. i dont want "new and improved" i want the original, the one i watched when i was younger. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best show on tv.
This show is absolutely addicting. My husband even loves it, mostly for the hilarious fight scenes and constant sarcastic remarks! The dialogue is smart and the main character is a total rockstar.I picked up the first season on dvd and had to go out a few days later for the second, it was that good!Catch the third season Tuesdays on the CW (old WB) you won't regret it!

5-0 out of 5 stars The best television show on TV
I must admit that I'm biased because I'm a girl and I associate with Veronica Mars a lot on the show. But this television series is the most well written, comical and touching, dramatic, smart, evocative thing since Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly. I love this show so much, it's the only show on television that I actually watch!
5-0 out of 5 stars To paraphrase the theme song, "C'mon now, sugar, bring it home, bring it home."You'll be glad you did
It's a credit to this show that viewers have posted lots of detailed raves and other enthusiastic comments here on Amazon, so I think I'll add just a brief paragraph or two with my own two cents. After all, it's the show you should be immersing yourself into, not just the reviews of it.So I won't keep you long.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Most Awesome Show

4-0 out of 5 stars Surpisingly Addictive
The Helpful Part:Season Two continues where the first left off, following Vince Chase, a young actor on the cusp of greatness, as he and his friends try to survive in Hollywood. This season includes Vincent getting a lead in a James Cameron movie and getting tangled up with an old love interest (Mandy Moore).Meanwhile, Ari gets in a battle with his boss over who should represent Vince, Eric gets a new love interest, and Turtle discovers and represents a rapper.
5-0 out of 5 stars From the Bull Pen (Corral)
At first I expected Entourage to be a macho treatise all about Marky Mark, the stud; however, by the Second Season, it is proven to be much more that that, without including some really brilliant cameos from celebrities who do not feel gimmicky but, rather, increase credibility. The writing and acting is what makes this show great. Thus, this show must be about the producer's (Mark Wahlberg) vision, who definitely knows his stuff, and not Marky Mark, the super stud.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good if you like the rest of the series.
Ignore all those Harry Potter nerds who say that it wasn't like the book, I mean who cares if it wasn't exactly the same as the book the film still turned out to be good and is a great follow up in the series. The missing scene involved that house elf from the book but it is not important, its great seeing all the characters grow up onscreen as they grow older the films become more serious but are still fun to watch. This film concentrates more on the Tri-wizard Tournement as Harry tries to prove that hes the most qualified and experienced wizard even though the senior wizards are giving him a hard time, you also get to see harry, Ron and Harmione prepare for the ballroom dance so there is alot of humor in it as well as some dark scenes when Voldemort played by Ralph Fiennes finaly makes an appearence (in person and not as something else) and has a confrontation with Harry Potter. Overall I would say that this film was great but not my favorite I still prefer Prisoner of Azkaban.

Emma Thompson scores a double bull's-eye with this marvelous adaptation of Jane Austen's novel. Not only does Thompson turn in a strong (and gently humorous) performance as one of the Dashwood sisters--the one with "sense"--she also wrote the witty, wise screenplay. Austen's tale of 19th-century manners and morals provides a large cast with a feast of possibilities, notably Kate Winslet, in her pre-Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A beautiful peice of classic cinema
What a wonderful movie!
5-0 out of 5 stars Sense and Sensibility
Jane Austen was so wonderful at creating reality on the printed page. She sent up society by spot-on accurate portrayals of it. I feel like stressing this point. It sends up pretension by accurately portraying it. It is humour and realism at the same time. I can think of nobody better at doing this.
5-0 out of 5 stars A fine adaptation that will please most viewers, sans Grant
This film looks beautiful with that particular fresh and green loveliness that typifies the gentlefolk's 18th / 19th century England. It's a delight to watch, and the screenplay itself is wonderfully done, combining the sensible and likeable characters with the truly absurd characters, not to mention those whose characters are morally enfeebled. Jane Austen's depiction of human frailty as well as goodness has always impressed me as being true and very apt, striking home not merely with insightful viewing of human beings but also the very particular aspects that define a person of English gentility in the 1800s.

4-0 out of 5 stars Star Wars, Episode 1, Phantom Menace.Review by: Adam Platts
Star Wars Episode I, The Phantom Menace, easily qualifies as one of the best science fiction movies of recent years. While I would give each movie in the original trilogy 5 stars, I could only give this one 4 stars because of its "moments" of bad acting and weak story line.Imagine how great this movie would have been if it had been combined with Episode 2, saving only the best from each, and trimming away the dull parts.Ideally we would have seen Anakin quickly growing up in one movie, being trained in the ways of the Jedi.Instead we got stuck with a little kid throughout the whole movie, and worse - Jar Jar Binks.Overall, though, I'm just glad that the Star Wars movies returned to the big screen.
4-0 out of 5 stars episode I : The Phantom Menace
I think people are being way too hard on this film. The main reason people don'tlike it is because they were expecting Lucas to just remake the original trilogy. What people do not understand is that this is an entirely differnt galaxy that we are in. The entire galaxy has been changed as e enter episode IV. People don't understand that it's a differnt age.

5-0 out of 5 stars Voltron Season One
Man I have said it once I will say it again; the 1980s was the best time to be a child. We had Voltron, Transformers, GIJOE, M.A.S.K., Thundercats, Battle of the Planets aka G-Force, and many other awsome cartoons. I am glad to see many of my favorite cartoons coming out on DVDs that way I can share it wth my little cousins and my own kids when I have them. Voltron ranks up there with many of the best cartoons of the 1980s and this series is a must for anyone that wants to relive their childhood. GO VOLTRON FORCE!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Animation just doesn't hold up.
Sorry guys, but after all the hype that was building up to the initial release of the Blue Lion Collection here, I am extremely disappointed about the final product here.

I've been waiting for the dvd release of Voltron - Defender of the Universe. The copy ones on other websites don't cut it, the beautiful case and artwork makes it worth it.The animation is clearer and smoother, hence the touchup.A must have for Voltron fans and for people who likes animation in general, brings me back to when I was young.

4-0 out of 5 stars Akeelah and the Bee is a G-o-o-d Movie!
I have been excited to see Akeelah and the Bee for several months now, ever since I saw the first trailer. And perhaps my review is tainted with bias, but I thought this film was great. We have been wanting to see a family film touch us this way for quite some time. This is a film about connection, and proves yet again that casting is key.
1-0 out of 5 stars Too much cusing for a family movie.
I would have enjoyed this movie much more if I hadn't had to remind my children that the curse words used in this movie were not appropriate.I was shocked at the frequency of the four letter words used in this PG movie. Who cares that the story line was to be inspiring??? I was too busy explaining to my boys that we do not approve of the language used in this movie.
5-0 out of 5 stars A T-R-U-E G-E-M
I have to tell you, this was a true gem! I watched a baseball game live at the park, and returned home quite late, around 8:30, and expected to fall asleep in bed.I just happened to put this in the DVD player and expected my son and wife to watch for about 5 minutes, than look away....

5-0 out of 5 stars More than 5 Stars!
Hands down one of the funniest sitcoms on TV today.I usually won't buy TV shows on DVD let alone TV shows I have already seen but I was more than willing to buy the third season of Scrubs (I also bought Seasons 1 and 2 and I highly recommend them as well).
5-0 out of 5 stars Comic Genius
The truly great have to deal with the same resources, situations, and expectations as the mediocre contend with, but they always manage to find a way to outshine their comtemporaries.
5-0 out of 5 stars Emotional Ride
This is one of the few comedies on TV right now that is not only hilarious, but will make you made, sad or frustrated all in one half-hour show.It has some of the best writing and the pairing of a situation with the soundtrack is brilliant. It pull the situation together and really makes you understand how the character is feeling. Not only that but I've found a lot of the new music I listen to these days from songs I heard on Scrubs. It's the best dramatic comedy on TV today and it by far has the best music. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Inventive, Side-Splitting Television
"Most Extreme Elimination Challenge" is easily one of the funniest shows to hit the tube in a long time.
5-0 out of 5 stars So Painful you can't look away!!!
Finally this great show comes out onto DVD. With the DVD you get the great games like LOG ROLLARS, BOLDER DASH, SURF BOARDS OF DEATH and my favorite SINKERS AND FLOTERS. With this you get 13 wonderful episodes full of knee crushing, neck breaking, and stomach smashing fun, all with the funny hosts Vic Romano and Kenny Blankenship.
3-0 out of 5 stars American corporate censorship at its best
MXC is great!5 stars for whit and humor and an awsomely entertaining show. But sadly after you realize how much is cut from the original (from 1 hour down to 20 mins per episode) one is filled with a lot of sadness for what one is missing. It is sad that American corporations controlling what we watch have to butcher this great show down to a mear touch of its original.Sader even so that the script writers had to pander to this to get their dream on the air.Such is the American corporate way.Such is the corporate perception of the average American intelligence level and attention span.Watching the original Japanese, or the foreign versions such as the Spanish or the uncut German versions gives one a totally different impression of the show and makes one very depressed at the 1/4 pint version available here on DVD.How I wish American versions of foreign films and shows werent so highly censored!Pretty much the same as communist censorship except this isn't the government doing it . Well over a hundred different great challenges and a similar number of shows whittled down to 30 odd games and 13 shows (albeite this is just the first season). How great would it have been to have Kenny and Vic voice over an hour for each unedited original show!I think all MXC / Takeshi's Castle fans would have raved. So zero stars for good old American corporate censorship and 5 for great humor of Vic, Kenny and the gang = 3 stars overall. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Transition Year
Season 2 of CSI: New York is a transition year. The show no longer is as dark as it was during its first season, the storyline involving Mac Taylor's mourning of his wife's death on 9/11 has disappeared, Dr. Hawks is now in the field, instead of performing autopsies, and Aidan Burn is fired and replaced Lindsay Monroe.

5-0 out of 5 stars Brought back memories
We pre-ordered this series to give the kids a visual to go with their Daniel Boone studies. Boy, was I plesantly surprised. It brought back so many good memories, and now I can share them with my kids. We just love the series and cannot wait to purchase Season 2 and the rest when they become available.

2-0 out of 5 stars A Disaster!
What a HUGE disappointment this release is.I was suspecting that it wouldn't be all that great when I saw that the studio that originally produced this show, 20th Century Fox, was the same video company releasing it.Well, the first season looks horrible. The source material is all 16mm dupe prints, some parts of which are out of focus, scratched and dirty. In all cases the image is soft and, well, like 16mm.Compared to what Fox is releasing of VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA, produced the same year (1964) and at the same studio as BOONE, this release is nothing short of a disgrace. We should be given pristine 35mm source material, and we're not.I suspect Fox wouldn't release the original camera negs from it's vaults without a substantial fee.Anyway, season one of DANIEL BOONE isn't worth buying.I haven't seen season two, when the show started filming in color, but I'm now afraid to look.

3-0 out of 5 stars quality problem with disk 7
Recently bought season 1. Played 1 through 6. Perfect. Unfortunately disk 7 is a mess. 43 minutes into the Cain's Birthday part one, tracking went all over the place. Sound distorted. And that is just the good part. Jammed our dvd player. Thought that we would never get the dvd out of it. Tried to exchange at the store and found out that the other copy was in even worse shape. Did play volume 8 and that is just fine. Be very careful. Tried calling Liberation Entertainment and their mailbox is full. I am not surpised. If you can find a good one, maybe you can tell how Cain's birthday ends( would not even let me go to part 2).

5-0 out of 5 stars Larry Rules
I really envy people who get to enjoy shows like this in a straight run through after the hype dies down. Shows like Curb, along with it's dramatic HBO equal The Sopranos, suffer unfairly by fans who overhype them in their minds. Once the smoke clears they can be appreciated for what they are.
3-0 out of 5 stars Has lost a little edge...
Going through the motions, and the jewish, disabled, and sexual humor
3-0 out of 5 stars Curb Your Enthusiasm
I'm a huge fan of CYE, but I've got to say that series five is the beginning of the end for me. The situations are becoming weaker and less plausible and are only ever resovled with childish bickering or plain shouting. Cheryl is constatntly sour-faced; its difficult to understand why she stays with Larry. Generally, the whole show feels very angry, often for no good reason.

5-0 out of 5 stars All ojections overruled
After watching volume 1, I could not wait for volume 2.The stories are even better than I remembered. The picture is wonderfully clear. This series is the grandfather of all courtroom dramas. Many have tried to imitate, but none have duplicated.Within the drama find humor, thrills and down right fun.You know he is going to solve the mystery, but can you figure out the secret? This is TV of classic proportions. The entire cast is merely excellent and the writing only fantastic.Watch this.
