5-0 out of 5 stars Xcellent show, Defective edition
Ill be very brief for those who already know about the show itself. Episodes are some of the best from the whole DC animated universe, specially the last 5 ones. Great show, great drama and action, you cant miss it for anything in the world. HOWEVER, this edition has NO extras on the episodes from the 2nd season (Warner Video decided to merge season 1 and 2 into 1 only for this release), so all the extras are about the first 13 episodes (season 1). Also, altho this set comes with english, spanish and french dubds, this set wont come with ANY subtitles. They decided to change the spanish dubs on the 2nd and 3rd season so its quite awkard after so many time having the same cast. Besides that, art covers and menu covers are outdated and most of the art uses art from previous shows (aka JL, not JLU). No chapter stops as well.
3-0 out of 5 stars Excellent series. Flawed edition. Thanks again Warner !
No need to linger on the many qualities of this show.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Superhero TV Show Ever Made...
From the WWII episode at the end of "Justice League" Season One all the way through to the Last episode of "Justice League Unlimited" there are very, very few bad moments. As a lifelong comic book (and especially DC) fan who has waited all his life for someone to finally DO IT RIGHT, I have been awed since episode 1 of Batman: The Animated Series, through Superman: The Animated Series, through Batman Beyond, through Static Shock, through Justice League, and all the way to the end of JLU. That being the case I am simply amazed and apalled at some of the reviews on this page. No market for some of these characters? Like Booster Gold? Have you even been paying attention to the DC stories since Identity Crisis? Booster was an interesting way to tell a story, though different than those of the other heroes. He was a used car salesman that later found it within himself to pull it together, avenge his lost friends, and allow the new post-crisis age to happen. And his episode of JLU was priceless; (not to mention that it featured "Elongated Man" talking about "Plastic Man"!).

5-0 out of 5 stars Well done!

5-0 out of 5 stars Love this new edition
I am thrilled to get this 10th Anniversary edition and the book that comes with it as I am a great fan of this particular version of Pride & Prejudice.Only one thing disappointed me however .... I don't care for the way the discs are stored in the set. They are slid inbetween a cardboard envelope and it took alot of skill for me to get them out without feeling like I was scratching them up against the cardboard.I much rather prefer when the discs are easily snapped into a case as I feel they are better protected. Other than that, this is truly worth purchasing,if not for the book & bonus disc alone, which do not come with the 2-dvd original version.Buy it ... you won't be sorry!

5-0 out of 5 stars A great and true adaptation of an amazing novel.
I saw this when it first came out on the BBC. (I lived in England)I have to say it is one of those dramas that I will watch and watch and watch again.I love the characters and I think that the casting is one of the best. Jane Austen of course must be given the credit of a great story. But I commend the adaptation and staying true to the book.I read the novel after watching the film and was amazed by how well it stuck to the story.I love the settings and the views but I am an English country girl at heart so I would. But it is a true love story that can bring hope that we can all find our own Mr. Darcy. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Why do they do this????
Why didn't they release this version the same time as the non-limited edition? I just bought the original movie release. If I had known about this upcoming version, I might have waited.
2-0 out of 5 stars Eh...
Some would say I am a pretty big FMA fan. From the pocketwatch to clothing to even seeing a bootleg version of this movie about 11 months ago.I must say that I was disappointed. The ending of the movie ruined the WHOLE FMA series for me.I don't want to put in any spoilers (and I won't) but the entire movie was good up until that ending. It's happy in a sense but just wrong, way off track, and bad for the cannon.
5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT SO MuCH!!
First of all, if you by any chance read the reveiw in which someone called this movie pro-Nazi propoganda and such... that's so untrue. The only sane reasoning would be that they didn't watch the whole movie, because, duh, the Nazis ARE pretty much the bad guys, after all. That's like saying Silence of the LAmbs promotes canibalism, or whatever.Anyhoo...

It's still one of the sweetest kisses onscreen, up there with Bergman and Grant, Bogey and Bacall: the moment when pampered purebred Lady and streetwise mongrel Tramp, sharing a moonlit plate of spaghetti in an alley behind an Italian café, unknowingly slurp the same strand, and suddenly find their mouths meeting in surprise and tenderness. Ah, puppy love. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Lady and the Tramp....Going into the Vault!
Disney has announced that in January the Lady and the Tramp DVD will be put into the vault!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Most Romantic of All Disney Films
I fell in love with this movie when I was little, back in 1955 when "Lady and the Tramp" first came to the theaters, and am probably one of the few who can actually remember seeing the promo show, "The Story of Dogs" on the old Disneyworld TV series from the early 50's.I actually had the rare privildge of being taken twice! To this day, it remains my all-time favorite Disney film, favorite dog film, and continues to charm, amuse, and move me to tears.
5-0 out of 5 stars Romantic Comedy Goes to the Dogs
Lady and the Trap has been an enduring Disney classic for 50 years now and it's amazing how well it holds up after all that time. The hand painted animation is beautiful and the story and music are top notch. This film is an example of Disney animation at its classic best.

Editorial Review

Tad, Leap, and Lily hop from the pages of the amazingly popular Leap Pad learning toys onto the television screen in this attention grabbing phonics program.Tad's disappointment at being unable to help his family with an important presentation at the letter factory quickly turns to excitement when he meets Professor Quigley and joins each of the letters of the alphabet in their own fun-filled classroom devoted to learning their unique sound.Tad practices karate kicks with the k's, digs the vibes with the cool cat d's drumming on the bongos, and snores peacefully with the z's while learning to recognize each letter and the sound it makes.A catchy, fun song serves as a summation of each letter's "class" and entices even the most reluctant of toddlers (and their parents) to sing each letter's sound. An interactive game follows the program and gives children a chance to practice their newfound skills of recognizing letters and their sounds.Consumers expect great educational products from LeapFrog and this DVD won't disappoint. 5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent DVD
I can't say enough good things about this DVD.My son started watching this at about 2 1/2 and he knew the letters and their sounds in a few weeks. Now that he is about to be 3, he still uses the sounds and the sayings from the DVD whenever he sees a particular letter.I have recommended this one to all my friends and family.

5-0 out of 5 stars Still watching after over a year
My now 4 year old son and 2 1/2 daughter love this video and I even enjoy it from time to time. They sometimes actually request it over other favorites. When we are outside playing or gardening, we'll sing the song that goes along with the video for extra practice on which letters make which sounds and my son does really good.My daughter however loses interest quickly and goes off to play with something else.Leap Frog has done it again!
5-0 out of 5 stars Engaging DVD
My three year old twins learned the sounds of the letters of the alphabet well and quickly just by watching the DVD. It is fun to watch. It works. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Candy coated.....rushed at the end
Pass on this one folks...unless you really have time to burn.
3-0 out of 5 stars Great Filming/Great History But Poor Scripting
THE NOTORIOUS BETTY PAIGE is intelligently filmed, using grainy black and white film stock that gives it a period piece feel. And, unfortunately, this is the most notable part of the entire production. Although actress Gretchen Mol does an excellent acting job (even when completely naked), the story fails simply because there's little to no understanding as to Betty's motivations.
3-0 out of 5 stars Five star performance in three star film about pin-up Bettie Page
In our silicon enhanced, post heroin chic pornographic society it's hard to imagine a world where pictures as tame as those shown in "The Notorious Bettie Page" would cause a scandal. They did however and this movie biography of pin-up and S&M model Bettie Page serves as a reminder of the conservative world where nude photos of natives in National Geographic were OK but not nude pictures of a white woman. Sending such pictures through the mail was a crime and it was a far different world. "Paige" captures the feeling of this world well with its black and white grainy photography but it's all surface and the film is saved by a stunning performance by Gretchen Mol as Page. She so completely invests herself in the role that when watching real footage of Page that is included as a DVD extra I felt as if it could have been Mol if not for the slight differences in the way the two looked.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hot dancing!
I can't resist 'hot dancing' and this film has it! Two tangos in particular just sizzle!!! I also loved the story line which is inspired by true events. I was entertained as well as caught up in the emotional backgrounds of the students. Very well done.
4-0 out of 5 stars Get Up and Dance!!!
This one had me, my wife (who NEVER dances in public) and my son up on our feet, shakin' our groove things in my living room.I loved it!It was the perfect "date" movie, without having to go out to some theater, get a baby-sitter, etc.It had everything: great music (both modern and classic) funny story-lines, and even sad story-lines which helped us learn about the characters.

5-0 out of 5 stars Loved This Season!
I know that there are Bewitched fans who love the first two B&W seasons the best well Im one who enjoys the color seasons after Tabitha's magic develops the best. This season has some of my personal funniest episodes. The Halloween episode this season is in my opinion the best Halloween episode from this or any other TV Sitcom ever! I LOVE the chase around the house that Sam does when chasin after those spooks Tabitha zapped out of her book. And then when one of the spooks turns Gladys Kravitz's nephew in to a goat it is so funny how he baaas her name "aunt gllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaadddddddyyyyyyyyyyysssss"! Gladys is also funny on that episode. Plus I LOVED the bull dog episode when Tabitha changed that bully into a bulldog. This season and the Fifth season were my two favorites. I just hope they continue and release the fifth season as well as the sixth thru the final season which is the eight season. I can't add much more that none of the other reviews haven't said except I agree with most of their comments... Why doesn't TV air these anymore? We pay so much each month for dish and cable? It makes me so angry the way TV Networks air the same series on different channels. Why can't some of these TV channels drop some of those same old shows that we can see on other channels and add Bewitched back on?!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Bewitched-speed it up fellas on releasing these seasons
I was so glad that BEWITCHED is being released on DVD, yes I am buying them and season 4 is being purchased without question.
5-0 out of 5 stars Season 4 Was the Best!
Much can be said about Bewitched's 4th season.I believe the series peaked here. They introduced a whole slew of new sound effects, some of which remained until the end of the series.Sam's identical cousin, Serena, began making semi-regular appearances during this season. Dr. Bombay appears a few times also. His character was fully developed from the word GO. Also, this was the final season we see Aunt Clara prior to Marion Lorne's passing away.(They should have at least given an explanation about her absence in season 5).

4-0 out of 5 stars Still a Great Show---But too Much Catherine
I am a faithful CSI watcher, and have been since the shows inception.
4-0 out of 5 stars Still good, but not as ground-breaking as before
I agree with another reviewer that they are packing in many new characters.Personally, I like Sauders very much, and I'm glad to see him in the field, instead of cooped up in the lab.Sofia is another good character, although her "departure" was so little mentioned, it was odd hearing of her "return."
3-0 out of 5 stars Problems Lurking?
I found Season 6 of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation to be subpar.

5-0 out of 5 stars Re:Missing Episodes
Regarding the supposedly missing episodes -- there are none. The episode you're referring to as the first Murdoc episode is Partners, from Season 2.The Murdoc in drag "episode" is not a separate episode -- it is a flashback sequence in Partners where Mac and Pete reminisce about their first encounter with Murdoc. The other episode you reference is Family Matter, also from Season 2.

4-0 out of 5 stars The missing episodes
Is it just me, or are there atleast 3 "missing" episodes; such as the First Murdoc episode: Dana Elcar, Richard Dean Anderson, Michael deBears, and Bruce McGillis(Taxi cab; Murdoc in drag) and the REUNION episode of that (stuck in a semi, obitiuary to bring them together)Those were the first two encounters with Michael deBears character and we do NOT have them on DVD!
5-0 out of 5 stars Now is time to say goodbye to all the company

Season 5 of That '70s Show will be known well since this is the 1st season when they started to have Song titles in the episodes. The 5th season has episodes with Led Zepplin titles. NOTE: some of the episodes have alternative titles.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great collection of classic horror
This is a great bargain, a collection of various classic horror films when art design, music and acting were counted on to provide the atmosphere instead of the sophisticated cartooning of computer generation. The greatest here is Peter Lorre in his best US performance in "Mad Love", filmed as if it were a Murnau German silent and the template visually for much of "Citizen Kane" (in particular Welles lifted the parrot). Worth the price of admission alone.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great Set With Some Minor Issues.
From the moment LEGENDS OF HORROR was announced I was looking forward to it with great expectation but I already had a few qualms regarding it. As has been well covered elsewhere Boris Karloff's THE WALKING DEAD from 1936 should have been included in the set but I can live with THE RETURN OF DOCTOR X for a few reasons. 1) It does offer Humphrey Bogart the opportunity to show what a good actor can do with what for him was a thankless role. 2) The director Vincent Sherman was still alive to provide commentary on the making of the film as well as background on Bogie and others. 3) Most important of all it shows how censorship imposed on the movies in 1934 changed the style and content of the first great cycle of horror films.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Set!
Everyone has already covered this one well.A couple of notes about the prints, though.DR. X(1932) is taken from an original 2 strip Technicolor print restored by the UCLA Film & Television Archive.Warner chose to include the print, which is far from perfect, so that we can see it in the original 2 strip color.Apparently, the Warner archive contains only a B/W print of this film. The UCLA print is very rare and is a treasure.Same can be said for MYSTERY OF THE WAX MUSEUM(1933), available on the flipside of the separately available HOUSE OF WAX(1953) DVD.

5-0 out of 5 stars Spike Lee's Best
Spike hit the mark on this tense and complex thriller. The perfect bank heist, with the cops and bank officials all twirling in their tracks, except for one man, the one whose secrets are at risk. Good performances by Denzel, Jodie and cast and some nice surprises at the end. I've watched this movie twice and not been bored for a moment. Great Job!

3-0 out of 5 stars predictable, typical Hollywood
I saw this movie with an open mind. I was disappointed to find out that it was very predictable. There was nothing special about it. It was very low budget in the sense that it all took place at a bank. No need for exotic locations or special effects. Maybe they paid the main actors so much that they had to skimp on everything else? It was a typical Hollywood flick. Cops and robbers. Nothing new here. This is a movie you could watch while doing something else...like knitting, homework, doing your nails, etc. It certainly wasn't riveting.

4-0 out of 5 stars Where's This Inside Man
Inside Man is nothing without this amazing cast and without Denzel Washington leading them off it would have been ugly. Without the cast the movie is a bit predictable so it's no wonder why Denzel and Clive were in this one. Inside Man is about a bank robbery, then the rich man that owns the bank needs to get in there to get something that he wants to keep secret, this is a story that so far has low interest in it cause if someone like Peter Richards or Mike Justice were the leading actors no one would care about this movie. It gets better though when the plot thickens cause you don't exactly know what Clive and his buddies are there for, they don't want money. The tactics the robbers are using have never been seen before, like dressing all the hostages up in the same exact clothes as the robbers so the cops don't know who's who.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fight 93good
I give this movie 4 stars. Knowing what's going to happen makes the movie tough to watch. But the movie has one of the most emotional endings I've ever seen. Flight 93 is a straitforward telling of the story behind the one plane that did not reach its target on 9/11. Of course, some of the movie has to be speculation, but none of the scenes stretch credulity.
5-0 out of 5 stars United We Stand
As morbid as it sounds, you couldn't help but wonder what went on aboard flight 93 on the tragic 9/11.This film explored on a timeline as close to what happened as possible. It was both horrifing and fascinating to witness. It put a human face on the tragedy, other than seeing and hearing news type coverage about it.It was a throughly engaging film, and at times hard to watch.I couldn't help but get teary eyed during certain parts, that whole experience was totally tragic and disturbing.I hope this film can bring some kind of closure or recogintion to the families of the flight 93 victims. They are of course the most important factor of the film and the reason why it was made. This film should be dedicated in tribute to them, and of course thier loved ones that perished that day.

Editorial Review

With the ghost of creator Aaron Sorkin fully expunged from the spotlit soundstage maze representing that most busy portion of the White House, the sixth season of The West Wing is less a return to form than it is a remaking of the things that were best about the show in the first place. There's C.J. and Josh throwing high-speed dialogue at each other; there's the tension and personality arc as characters are back in step with their original realization; there's the overarching story that runs throughout the 22 episodes along with the self-contained mini-dramas within each one; there are the new people who bind themselves to plots that are alternately tidy and messy, just like real life. The taking-stock the show's creative minds clearly did after a roundly drubbed season five had a lot of help from the necessity of thinking ahead to a new crop of faces and places as the Bartlett administration starts winding down its second term. Some of the plot points may be a little hard to swallow: Would C.J. really deserve to take over the Chief of Staff position? Would Josh really walk away from his dream job to pursue the seeming nightmare of running a presidential campaign for not-a-chance-in-hell Rep. Santos (Jimmy Smits)? Thankfully the answer turns out to be yes in these fully crafted episodes, even as they still sometimes ring with the people-don't-really-talk-that-way banter that makes up most of the conversation in the Oval Office or hallways of the elaborate set.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Less substance than potential; insensitive cut of english subtitles
I have hearing problems and up until now, I've been very happy that the DVDs for my favorite show, The West Wing, have always had quality english subtitles. The DVDs for this season, however, did not have that feature, even though they were mentioned in the product description when I purchased the set.
5-0 out of 5 stars superb television
You could write a review for any season of this show and it would basically repeat the same thing - this show was amazing. Some of the finest Tv ever aired. The writing was never watered down for the masses. I respected the pacing of this show. You absolutely had to pay attention to every second. This way, you became a part of the saga, not simply a viewer. The addition of Jimmy Smits and Alan Alda to the cast added yet more firepower to an already explosive cast. Quite possibly the best portrayal of a President by Martin Sheen - at least, the kind of President we all want.

2-0 out of 5 stars Getting tiresome
I have been an avid watcher of all seasons. This one just missed the WOW or grab you in appeal.I don't think I will be watching it anymore after the sixth season going even further downhill.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finding Nemo is a great "catch" for the whole family
Pixar Studios have done it again. I have to say that these guys are totally good in computer animation, as well as in storytelling. Rarely do those qualities come together but here they are, delivering unto the audience once again something that one can only be drowned with wonder. Such is the marvel of Finding Nemo.
5-0 out of 5 stars A really great movie!!!
I really loved this movie. I have watched it over and over again. I have never gotten sick of it. It makes me laugh and cry all in the same DVD. This movie is a must for all kids and adult kids too. Ellen's role is just great!!! It fits her to a tee. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Average Production Quality but Good Source Material
I just saw "Iraq for Sale" in the theater. It's the only movie I've heard of that focuses on the reconstruction in Iraq and the obscene corruption associated with it.Many people have heard of Halliburton and its subsidiary, KBR, but few people know the extent of the corruption and negligence of these and other companies.
3-0 out of 5 stars Shockingly Americentric
I just reviewed this DVD on my blog, Robert's Virtual Soapbox. Here is the review, copied and pasted (and slighted edited) from my blog:
4-0 out of 5 stars A must see for Americans with a conscience
Those who are apprehensive about my 4-star evaluation, do not be afraid. You'll see more on that in a bit. This film is among the most important today... Indeed, I've already invited activists to my home to see it!

1-0 out of 5 stars SEY GOO'BYE TO MUH WORTHLESS FILM!
The first time I saw this film, age, I think, 14 or 15, I hated it.It was absolutely horrid - the acting, the music, the cinematography, everything. Then a few years later I gave it a second chance, and I thought it was pretty good, at least good enough to buy.
5-0 out of 5 stars On DVD, yet again...
Brian De Palma's blood soaked gangster epic is on DVD, once again.I'll say this right off the bat, if you own the previously released Special Edition of Scarface, there's no reason to run out and buy this Platinum Edition, which has an assortment of previously released extras to go along with a counter for how many times the "F" word is used and how many bullets are fired.Besides that, there's nothing here that hasn't been seen before, but if you don't already own Scarface on DVD, well then, this is worth picking up.As for the film itself, it's a bloody crime epic featuring one of Al Pacino's best, and most infamous, performances as Cuban hood turned drug kingpin Tony Montana; but chances are, you already know all that. The DVD's picture quality looks cleaner, and the "remastered and remixed" sound is crisper as well, but whether or not you want to lay down the cash for this depends on how many times you've been suckered into buying the movie.

4-0 out of 5 stars "Say hello to my little friend!"
`Scarface' is one of those classic films that, even though it wasn't recognized by prestigious awards ceremonies as worthy, it'll be remembered far longer than films like `Crash' and `Million Dollar Baby'.Why?Well for starters it's really what made Al Pucino famous.Sure, he was in `The Godfather' films and he was brilliant in them (the Oscar nods prove that) but to me `The Godfather' belongs to Brando, but `Scarface', not that is in all respects Al's picture, from start to finish, it belongs to Pucino.
