2-0 out of 5 stars Poor ending to a great series
I'm really surprised how many Alias fans are giving this final season decent, even glowing, reviews.I found it completely disappointing, which is especially frustrating considering the show's ongoing storyline. With Rimbaldi's "endgame", and Sydney's complicated relationships with her family and Vaughn, four years in the making, I expected a worthy ending to these stories, and was let down. The prior year's cliffhanger, with Vaughn's "I have a secret" speech and car crash, was exciting, but hinted that the show may be about to jump the shark. In it's fifth season, this proved to be the case.I won't spend a lot of time repeating other reviewers' complaints, but I agree with them completely:the new characters were miserable, and even worse, the Rimbaldi plotline that drove the series did not come to a satisfying conclusion.Alias has been one of my favorite shows, and I still think Jennifer Garner's performance as Sydney is some of the finest acting I've seen on television, but its ending just doesn't do it justice at all.I doubt I'll even buy this DVD set, which is a shame because it almost makes me regret buying the other seasons.

2-0 out of 5 stars what a way to go....
I hated how this season ended.Everything seemed very calculated and rushed in order to end the show, and I came out with more questions than when I first started watching Alias. There are way too many lose ends and that they didn't even attempt to explain, like at the very beginning of the season why would Vaughn refer to himself as a "bad guy" and hide his investigation from Sydney, and why is there a prophet five? Prophet five seems like the already used and abused Alliance.
5-0 out of 5 stars Alias, like "Rambaldi", goes on forever ( in our hearts)
As an addicted Alias fan, I can say that I have watched every episode of all five seasons (some numerous times), and I do not find some of the incongruities in season five that others have commented on.For example, how can any of us forget Sydney's tirade to Vaughan in the beginning of season 3, when she tells him that if he had been the one that had "died", she would have waited and believed? From that moment on, anything that happened to Vaughan (such as his supposed death in season 5)or Sydney could not be considered out of reach for this show.I mourned for Sydney's loss of Vaughan like anyone else, but I was not disappointed for the way it was handled.Michael Vartan could not be replaced in this show any more than John Ritter could be replaced in "Eight Rules".Yes, I found that Rachel Nichols and Balthazar Getty added little to the show, but that wasn't their fault. They were treading in shoes that could not be filled by other characters.I LOVED the SPYGRANDPA Jack moments, such as when watching his baby granddaughter (and in his usual deadpan)saying "Apparently I'm funny". David Anders "Sark" was underused in season 5 but was fabulous when he was used.He showed a glimmer of humanity after his tryst with a certain agent. Loved that! Through all the twists and turns, Alias always stayed true to the family dynamics, (skewed as they were in this show). If the show had revealed Irina or Sloane different than the way they ended up, those would have been incongruous plot twists. I absolutely recommend season 5, all seasons of Alias are by far the best of the best shows on television. You must watch them all, in order preferably! Thanks to all of you involved in Alias for providing great, high quality entertainment! ... The ladies of Wisteria Lane returned for a second season of high anxiety, testy relationships, and a new mystery.Susan's (Teri Hatcher) angsty on-again off-again with Mike the plumber (James Denton) took an odd twist when her ex-husband (Richard Burgi) moved in with neighborhood seductress Edie (Nicolette Sheridan), then took an even odder one.Bree (Marcia Cross) resumed her widow's relationship with George the pharmacist (Roger Bart), then descended into personal addiction.Annette's (Felicity Huffman) return to the working world turned bizarre when her husband, Tom (Doug Savant), got tired of being a house-husband and returned to the workforce… at Annette's own firm. And Gabrielle (Eva Longoria) had to cope in her own unique way with Carlos (Ricardo Chavira) in prison.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Darker days on Wisteria Lane
Desperate Housewives Series 1 became a hit because of it's fun off-the-wall characters, wild unpredictability, glamorous leading ladies and brilliant writing. Series 2 delivers all the strengths of Series 1 but, in all told, a somewhat darker turn. Will the series get darker or lighter in Series 3? Only time will tell.
5-0 out of 5 stars I totally agree
Season two is, as it is written on the cover, very juicy. For me, season two is better than the first one. There are some many twists, unexpected events and of course it's very funny and entertaining. All actors and actresses did a fantastic job, especially Marcia Cross. I like the development from Bree. In the first season she was "only" the perfect housewife and she dealt with her problem in her way. Because of all the bad events she's going trough in season two she seems more "humain", she also has a weak and sensitive side and she is struggling with her life. Lynette, Edie and Susan are still the same, but terrific of course. I also liked Gabby better in this season than in the first one. What Carlos and she are showing us is fantastic

5-0 out of 5 stars Peyton Place of the New Millenium

5-0 out of 5 stars FOX's Redemption
I swore I would never forgive FOX network for cancelling my beloved Firefly. While I still haven't forgiven them, I've ended my boycott of their channel solely for this show. House is, in a word, incredible. Hugh Laurie, Robert Sean Leonard, Omar Epps, Jennifer Morrison, Jesse Spencer, and Lisa Edelstein each give extremely nuanced performances and breath life into the smartly written scripts. I'm generally not a big fan of medical dramas (I strongly dislike ER, and I'm fully prepared to be flamed for this next statement: I hate Grey's Anatomy). House is different. Each episode provides a new medical case that is well thought out, and the character development of each main player is present from the first episode on. This is one show that should not be missed. You never know what show the "geniuses" at FOX will cancel next.

A cuddly koala who wants to be fierce, a squirrel in love with a sarcastic giraffe, an addle-pated anaconda, and a lion with a secret set off from their cozy zoo to rescue the lion's adolescent cub from an accidental kidnapping. 1-0 out of 5 stars Walt Disney Would Never Have Put His Name on This.
"The Wild" is under the "Walt Disney Pictures" banner, and even rated G, so I expected it to be a picture for the whole family, of which the studio is proud. I hoped it would put me in the Disney mood prior to our family trip to Walt Disney World.
3-0 out of 5 stars A Roar More Akin To A Whimper
I really enjoyed "The Wild," but I watched it feeling as if something was missing. It lacked the magic that I've come to expect in Disney's theatrical releases.Unlike "The Lion King" and "Cinderella," it lacked the "epic" aspect.Where "Hercules" and "The Emperor's New Groove" were laugh-out-loud funny, "The Wild" came across as a lukewarm comedy. It has a wonderful cast of voices including Kiefer Sutherland (who has the warm, fatherly voice downpat), Jim Belushi, Eddie Izzard (who almost steals the show), and William Shatner. It also has the reliable Patrick Warburton and Janeane Garofalo. But for some reason, things just don't add up.Not even the music is up to the same level as that of other Disney flicks released within the last two decades such as "Tarzan" and even "Chicken Little."
4-0 out of 5 stars My Son Liked it...
Yes this is kinda like Madagascar, however ALMOST every movie has another movie that is similar eg. Finding Nemo and Sharktale. Or it's a remake of an original, let's face it there are only so many ways you can make a movie that will please a wide varity of people. This movie was great because it is set in New York City and the detail is amazing. I bought this movie just before I went on a 4 days business trip to the "city" while I left my children at home with their Nana. I wached it with my son before I left and I could show him where I was going. There was a major scene where the animals are in time square and it looks just like the real thing, I was staying very close to Time Squareso in a way it helped my son to understand where I was going. So who cares if it's "similar" to another movie it's still cute and worth a watch. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Something Little Kids *Might*Enjoy
I couldn't get into this movie. It was boring, too long, and I couldn't wait for it to be over with. George was annoying and he should've been tranquilized and thrown into the zoo. The only thing I liked about the movie was the use of computer animation to enhance the traditional cartooning.

5-0 out of 5 stars My Kids Loved This DVD
Well loved children's character Curious George is now on DVD in a brand new feature length adventure. Curious George the animated feature includes the voice talent of Drew Barrymore and Will Ferrell. Kids won't really care who lends voice talent to this gem.
5-0 out of 5 stars I Was Shown the Monkey and the Monkey Was Good
This is a feature film version of the popular "Curious George" books by H.A. and Margret Rey. In this film, Ted (The Man in the Yellow Hat --- they decided he needed a name) finds himself facing the prospect of being jobless when the museum he works out is faced with closure. The son of the curator is all ready to have it torn down for a parking lot, but Ted is desparate to save it. He goes on a jungle expedition to find a lost idol and ends up having the wildly cute, curious monkey named George follow him home.

5-0 out of 5 stars FantasticallyDisney-esque!!
This movie soooo appeals to the kid in all of us!!It really is amazing just how huge it has become, but to say (as has been said) that the movie made stars out of the actors is probably not as true as to say that it is the ACTORS that made the movie. But, in the interests of not getting bogged down in trifles, all I can say is that you should just see this movie.Really, you should.

This big, fat theatrical bomb has a lot going for it. There's the three leads, Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker, playing three resurrected witches who wreak havoc on Salem, Massachusetts, 300 hundred years after they were hung. There's music, special effects, and magic. There's a surprisingly horror-filled plot. Whoops, hold up on that last one. It's probably the extremes that this film goes to (displaying a Disney label), such as the witches sucking the life out of a little girl in the first five minutes, that put the brakes on any success for Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Show On Earth.
From Jack waking up in the forest to him and Locke looking down the hatch, Lost Season 1 is truly the best show on TV. The acting is the best, the sepcial effects are WOW, and the writing is so amazing!!! And one thing that makes Lost stand out is the flashbacks. You learn so much about all the characters. And another thing is Lost isn't racial. It's great for everyone. It has Asian people, black people, white poeple, kids, dogs and the characters are just so cool!!! I recommend Lost to anyone that can handle suspense and gore. If you can handle that stuff you can watch Lost!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Un-Be-Liev-Able.
If this show had been released as a 48 hour, continuous movie showing at my local sticky-floored theater- I would have paid the exorbitant sum and watched it! This show is that good.
5-0 out of 5 stars Mega-TV comes all too well to DVD box set editions.
Don't even read the reviews just press the buy me button and prepare to watch the whole of Season One of Lost in about two or three days. This is one hell of a way to watch Lost on DVD. Those who sat through the episodes as they aired will admit that as one of the biggest selling TV series DVD box sets in history (also see `Firefly' for similar achievements) is better than the best of science-fiction series we have seen yet still offers many norms taken, and used well, from some of the best sitcoms of the twentieth-century. It is part `ER', part `Star Trek', part `Twin Peaks', part `Gilligan's Island', a whole big bit of `Survivor' with real drama and yet totally unique in every conceivable way and form with the episode (third on this season's disc 1) `Walkabout', which is widely considered one the best television episodes for any series ever aired. Lost will catch you hook, line and sinker. This will put a stop on every other media you watch or listen to for the next couple of days. The logistics are simple. A plane travelling from Sydney to LA has veered 1000km off course and smashed into an island strewing the passengers everywhere who soon learn from a co-pilot that their rescuers are looking for them in the wrong place. When the co-pilot is hurled into the air and eaten alive by an invisible beast who stalks the island the audience comes to realize that the island is no ordinary island, and so do the survivors who set about establishing themselves and facing various challenges that befall them. Who are they and will they survive? Will the Doctor fall for the possibly dangerous freckled heroin? Will the junkie die? Who stole her baby? Where did Locke learn to use a 9mm like that? Where does the electric cable come from? What is in the underground hatch? Who are the others? Are the fish poisonous? Is it in the future? Is he psychic? Are there dinosaurs? Is he who he really says he is? Who murdered him? Are there ghosts? Is this all an experiment? These are the kind of questions that can come up in a single episode of Lost. With that said and done there is much in Lost that can be rationally explained but a whole hunk of it will leave you Lost and bewildered. It may be as painful as having a tooth extraction waiting for the answer to any of the major questions but some of the smaller ones are eventually uncovered towards the end of Season one. So expect to sit through quite a number of background history stories for the series character build-ups, that are quite well driven, although extremely odd at times.

5-0 out of 5 stars Interjection...HEY! This Is Great For Kids!
Are you a parent now that remembers these from your childhood and you're asking yourself, "Could Schoolhouse Rock! possibly still be as captivatingly educational as it was in the 70s?" or perhaps you're saying to yourself, "These are so dated my kids would never stay tuned." Let's put it this way...This is one of my kids' most requested DVDs (ages three through seven), and they walk around the house singing about nouns, the branches of the government, counting by 5s, electricity and the National 'Tyrannosaurus' Debt.
5-0 out of 5 stars Entertaining, Educational, and a Touch of Nostalgia
Those of us who grew up as kids in the 80's will remember watching these short animation clips on TV, accompanied by catchy music and memorable lyrics. These cartoonish music videos that lasted less than five minutes somehow managed to teach us concepts that required dedicated lesson plans in school. This is the essence of Schoolhouse Rock.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great ending for a superlative show...
Perfect ending for the greatest show on TV; 'nuff said!

4-0 out of 5 stars A wonderful last hurrah
I was throughly dissapointed by the 'real' ending to the show, the one before fans demanded more episodes.Honestly, I was a bit confused during these last 8 episodes, but in the end I was happy to have some answers and conclusions some revelations and even more Michael and Nikita (yum!). While I'm a sucker for happy endings, I knew none could really be had in Section, so these episodes stayed true to the show. The price could be a little cheaper for only 8 episodes, but with other seasons priced at $60 + what can I expect? I still don't know why they're so expensive. If your'e patient (and cheap or poor) wait for a sale, I did. This is a great series, with wonderful character developement which never really got off the ground floor. Still, devoted LFN fans cheered the show to 5 seasons. I think without even re-runs being showns, you have to buy it on DVD now to get your fix unless you taped all the eps. While S5 does die up things and give a more satisfying ending, you can actually get away with only buying season 1-4 and be happy. But the whole collection is for any real fan. Also, any episode commentary is golden.

5-0 out of 5 stars A perfect end to the perfect show...
This final "season," though short, was put together because fans demanded that the show be returned to the air and tie up all hte loose ends left after Season 4. And it was done beautifully. It may only be 8 episodes, but for any La Femme Nikita fans, it's a must-have.

3-0 out of 5 stars It is what it is
I was excited to hear that the original cuts of "Star Wars" would see an official DVD release and was just as profoundly disappointed to learn that the quality wouldn't be much better than the bootlegs floating around since they're both essentially copies of the laserdisc version. I can live with the grain and print damage but the lack of anamorphic enhancement is as baffling as it is inexcusable. The films are still great fun, but the handling of the original cuts in this "limited edition" release is at best a lazy cash-in and at worst a cynical one.
1-0 out of 5 stars Low quality transfers of original (and best) films
Although it's nice to finally have the original movies which made George Lucas into the mogul he is today on dvd, the quality of these versions are low-quality 4 x 3 letterboxed transfers from video. Why do we have to choose between an edited goofy new scenes version and a low quality original?I want the original films in high quality transfers and when HD discs come out, in HD quality as well.Easy to do for Lucasfilm.

5-0 out of 5 stars when in rome...
wow -- the first season lived up to all the good things I heard about it.
5-0 out of 5 stars The gods that walk beside us
Many people here have talked about the quality of this series, which opinions I agree with. The show is sumptuous not only in its depiction of noble Rome, but also that of common Rome, the people whose lives and work made the Republic possible. The characters are well-drawn and excellently acted, and the production is top-notch, especially considering it as a TV production, which usually come off as less polished to me.
2-0 out of 5 stars Ads at the beginning ruin a great dvd collection
I love the show. But it is ridiculous that HBO requires that I watch an ad for all their other shows and listen to a Tracy Chapman song before watching ROME.I paid for the DVD I want to see ROME, not an ad for Soparanos, or any other show.I wonder who the jerk is at HBO who decided to put that at the begining of the disk. Then there is the fact that HBO Dvds don't have a play all feature.Almost every other show has that tech, if you can call it tech.As a result you have to scroll through menus after each show instead of just being able to let it run.TWO stars, but would have been Five for content alone.Make better DVDs HBO. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Fast Moving
The fist season starts out fast and strong.Battlestar Galactica and the fleet it protects have made over two-hundred jumps trying to outrun the Cylons who seem to be able to track them through jumps.Getting out of this has Adama and the president making very tough decisions. From there the series develops quickly. We see lots more about Cylon agents and some of the sleeper agents. We see the fleet have to locate resources and deal with dissidents within the fleet. The presidency gets challenged and a Vice President is elected.Adama and the President have a showdown. The fleet discovers Kobol and gets a step closer to discovering the location of Earth. Finally the season ends with a triple cliffhanger that will want you to go right into season 2.0.
1-0 out of 5 stars this is knock-me-out terrible!
i rented this mini series and prepared to sit thru all night to finish it. but it turned out to be so bad that i couldn't even finish the 1st disk. terrible script, bad graphics, bad actings, stupid dialogue...what else could i add here? i was so disappointed but at the same time so happy that i didn't buy it just paid $1.50(including sales tax), and i'll try to collect more plastic bottles to recycle center getting this wasted $1.50 back. sigh....

5-0 out of 5 stars Caught me completely by surprise
Battlestar Galactica was always one of those shows that it's not that I never got into it, I just never got around to it. Certain shows I don't have an interest of getting into while other ones end just while interest is building. So it was with a worry and anticipation that I decided to watch the show. As I kept watching, I wondered something: am I still watching because I'm addicted or because I can't stand having shows unfinished. Well it has to be the latter cause I'm dipping into season 2 now so it's obviously a really great show.

3-0 out of 5 stars Old Time Matinee
This is probably what someone would describe as the type of matinee you would see back in the day.A nice way to cool down on a hot summer day. While this movie is a little mindless, it is fun. When I went to see this, people applauded after the movie.People clearly love this movie. While I thought it was good, I don't know if it deserved applause but I had to admit that I liked it.This movie I thought was a big improvement over the first one and the effects were nothing short of spectacular.Truly unbelievable. The plot was compelling enough to keep me in my seat but I did feel the flow was a little bit stilted toward the end.Maybe the movie-making folks had some issues with the script and how best to make it flow (like I would now, right?).Of course this uneven flow could have been because of editing.I felt like the last hour of the film was a off center like they lost their pace a little bit.Looking forward to the third installment.

5-0 out of 5 stars Captain Jack Sparrow
I loved this movie! Captain Jack (Depp) is the perfect pirate for this movie, he is the kind of character you cant help but love. I cant wait for the 3rd movie to come out and see what happens between Jack and Elizabeth!!!! i loved the 1st movie, and i almost love the 2nd movie even more! The action and special effects make up for the slightly confusing story line, the ending to this movie leaves a HUGE opening for the 3rd movie. If you didn't see this movie in theaters it is definetly worth wathing when it comes out.

5-0 out of 5 stars Yo Ho Ho! The Pirate's Movie for Me!
Pirates of the Carribean 2 is funny, creepy, scary, tense, adventurous, slimy, gross and magical. Johnny Depp is once again superb as the mincing pirate captain, and Keira Knightly and Orlando Bloom are worthy back ups to Depp. As the movie starts, Knightly is left waiting for Bloom at the altar, only to find that they both have warrants out for their arrest for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow. Their lives will be spared, however, if they can find a key and a hidden chest--- and the adventure is off!

2-0 out of 5 stars ok, so it's meant for kids, but..........
i usually like these kinds of movies. i enjoy the santa clause movies, finding nemo, ya know, kid targeted films. and this one started out with so much promise, but fell flat on its face when they tried to incorporate the story too much. Billy Connolly did the best he could with what he was given. but i gotta say myer and hewitt and even odie, yes, odie, should be left out altogether. UNLESS, they too are cgi. because here is the problem. for kids that are new to garfield, they probably won't care, but for kids like me (and i'm 30), i grew up with garfield as my favorite comic strip. i watched the xmas special and i'm used to everyone in the comic having that certain big eyed, cartoony look to them. here, all you have is garfield that resembles anything from the comic strip. odie, while being a cute dog, IS A REAL DOG! ok, i have to go, so here's my point: make the entire cast CGI and take some of the stories from the comic strip and you could have a seriously long running franchise that will actually be enjoyable. i give it the 2 stars because the team of animators for garfield did EXCELLENT work. the rest of the cast is as annoying as nermal....

3-0 out of 5 stars A Tale of TWO Big Fat Cats -- Better Than the Original
In spite of its underwhelming results on the US box-office, the second live-action `Garfield' is better than the first one made only two year before. CGI of the titular cat has become more refined, and the voice acting of Bill Murray is spot-on as ever. Plus, this time you got an impressive list of voice actors from the UK - Jane Horrocks, Rhys Ifans, Bob Hoskins, Richard E. Grant, and Vinnie Jones.
5-0 out of 5 stars Very funny and cute cat

3-0 out of 5 stars Kind OfA Yawner
As a fan of Beowulf I really wanted to love this film. Turns out it was okay, and thats about it. Slow in spots, and it did not really follow the book all that much. I think "13th Warrior" did a better job than this newer film as being closer to the original story.

4-0 out of 5 stars Stunning!
This movie is a visual masterpiece. The cinematography deserves an award.
3-0 out of 5 stars Beowulf and Grendel
Overall, this is a good film if you consider it as a stand-alone work concerning Dark Age Europe. Relative to the Beowulf poem/mythos, however, it takes grand creative license with the story. Essentially the story is there, but the filmmakers spend way too much time shoe-horning the fictional Selma into the story as a love interest for Beowulf. There is no such character in the original poem, and her inclusion in the film comes across as a typical Hollywood manuever (despite the fact that it's an Icelandic film) to appeal to female viewers (the few that might be watching). So much of the story is dedicated to forcing Selma into the story that the mythos as a whole suffers. Worst of all is the part where Grendel sneaks into her dwelling one night via flashback and "has his way" with her, the result of which is a half-troll/half-human child that's just perfect for the obligatory sequel-setup ending (yet another Hollywood tradition).

5-0 out of 5 stars Great New Whose Line DVD!
This 2 disk Whose Line DVD Set is a great way to spend money if you like comedy shows. With 10 episodes from the 1st season (1998), the episodes are generally pretty good. (Parents: Please note the episodes ARE censored. the 'Uncensored' label actually refers to the special features, which are not for ones who dislike strong lanuage and/or themes. So if you have kids and let them watch the show on tv, they can watch this if you keep them away from the special features) The Special Features are HILARIOUS!!!!! They show games that never made it to tv, and 2 gag reels, (my favorites) which are where most of the Strong Language comes from, Which show you how many ideas were rejected by the censor (whom the preformers hated) By the way, don't miss a long scene in the gag reel where Ryan Styles keeps trying to ask for a restroom break. The only real complaint I have with the DVD is that it could use more episodes. So all in all, buy this DVD! You will be happy you did.

4-0 out of 5 stars Is itUncensored?

1-0 out of 5 stars BOOOO
I was happy when Whose Line was coming out on DVD and uncensored I was going to purchase it, however when reading a couple of the other reviews and found out that the episodes are still censored, it was dissapointing. Needless to say I'm not going to waste my money on this DVD if I wanted to watch it censored I'd record it from ABC Family. I hope the makers of the DVD see this review and realize what a mistake they have made. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for the right sort of fan
This is a perfect release for someone like me--I saw the films in my teens and never paid the slightest bit of attention to them thereafter. I haven't ever bought a tape or dvd of any of the Star Wars stuff, but was intrigued by the idea of finally being able to see the orginals. The theatrical release on the bonus disc doesn't look too bad--especially at night in a dark room. I have a 26 -inch LCD: it looks fine if I leave it with bars on all four sides, and loses something when I zoom in.
3-0 out of 5 stars Great Film - Half-Hearted Treatment
"The Empire Strikes Back" is a classic, and while it's nice to finally have a theatrical version on DVD, this release seems more like a slap in the face to diehard fans than a worthy treatment.

5-0 out of 5 stars Top season
This season has my all time favourite episode "The Soup Nazi". George Costanza pretty much runs the show in Season 7, really coming into his own. It was by this point that the show barely needed a script, just a basic plot outline in which the great cast could show off their talents. The Marble Rye and Cadillac tie in is funny too. This is certainly Seinfeld at its peak.

5-0 out of 5 stars When "Seinfeld" became "Costanza"
Here we are, almost 11 years after Seinfeld's 7th season first aired, and it's as fresh and as vibrant as ever.
5-0 out of 5 stars Top class
I would give six stars if I could! This was the first season I have watched, and it was the one that got me loving it. 'The Soup Nazi' episode is one of those episodes people will still be talking about after decades. The catchy phrase ' NO SOUP FOR YOU ' can still be heard on the streets in several different countries. What was already extraodinary, got to a 'out-of-this-world' level. It doesn't matter if you have never watched one single episode, or if you have watched all of them 10 times. You will love them anyway!!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Why is this movie so underrecognized?
I haven't seen this movie in a while, but I absolutely loved it as a child. Just a warning, though: I've never cried so hard at ANY movie. I actually thought my heart would break for these cartoon animals. But while I'm not sure why such tragic moments are necessary for kids to endure (this is why my sister refuses to watch it), it remains one of my favorites from Disney.

5-0 out of 5 stars Highly Underrated Disney Classic.
The Fox and The Hound was made in a time when Disney animation had lost some of its luster . It was one of the last films of the old guard until the transition to the highly popular animated musical "The Little Mermaid". Probably because of this it was not as highly regarded as many of the early classics and the post Mermaid period.
4-0 out of 5 stars Correct screen ratio! This movie IS FULL FRAME!
O.K. I can answer the many questions about the correct screen ratio of THE FOX AND THE HOUND.
