4-0 out of 5 stars Love this Workout!
Denise definitely targets "ALL" of your female fat zones from your butt, thighs, front and back arms, love handles, upper tummy and lower tummy. If you use this video plus a cardio workout, you will definitely see the results of a slimmer you!

5-0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed!
I'm a mom of 2 kids and finding time for a workout is really a problem. With Denise's workouts which are quick and fun, I get to finish it to the last minute and I feel very accomplished!I've tried Taebo but I feel like a loser towards the end when I don't finish it coz of time constraints and difficulty.I definitely recommend this for those like me who has less time and who's just starting an exercise routine. This is worth it!A great workout video indeed!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Workout
This workout will get you reslts.I did it for about a month and was completely toned. I wasnt that out of shape to begin with but it certainly worked its magic quickly.I would say its a bit difficult to get through... what I like is that even after youve done it for a month its still somewhat of a challenge to finish. The areas worked are exactly where women need it, you wont be disapointed.I dont mind her personally either. Its a bit much but when your doing a difficult workout it can be a welcome boost. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Where's Warren??
Warren Miller is involved with this movie in name only. His catch phrases "if you don't do it this year..." were dubbed in from earlier movies. I could live with the departure of Warren (he's in his 80s after all), but the movies are also over-commercialized -- hitting too many mountains and helicopter trips, and too many product placements. There's very little of the spirit left that makes Warren's millers so wonderful. Buy an old one and skip this garbage. ... Read more

    5-0 out of 5 stars User-friendly!!!
I love this dvd. It's very easy to use and you can pre-program what workout you want to do, depending on your time constraints, your own physical needs and level.
5-0 out of 5 stars Love it!
This is a great workout for me, I just had a baby and need to tone up again. But I don't have a lot of time, so this is perfect. I can usually get in 2 10 min workouts in the morning while the baby sleeps or is having quiet time. I haven't worked out in many months, so it's great to be able to start at beginner! I am sore after the workouts, so I think thye are pretty effective. Looking forward to seeing some results ( I just started 3 days ago!)

    5-0 out of 5 stars L-O-V-E it!
I ordered this DVD with high expectations after reading all the reviews!I've got to tell you... it met all of them. You can choose an all Low level, Moderate level or high intensity workout (which includes abs and full body stretch) or you can truly customize your workout. The DVD lets you preset what level you want for every specific workout before you even start so that there aren't any interruptions between the chapters. I almost hate to admit it but... I choose the Low intensity workout starting out.I was sweating more than what I thought I would.I even still found some of the Abs and thigh exercises challenging!!I think that Denise is EXTREMEMLY motivational and can really help you keep up your momentum.I know many times I would remember to tighten my Abs while exercising with her catch phrase, "Zip up those Abs!!"

5-0 out of 5 stars I am enjoying this workout!
I have one other Denise Austin video, and although she tends to annoy me, her other video was a great workout, so I thought I would try it.I really enjoyed it!It is a good, fun workout and its seems safe and moderate.I enjoy the fact that there are other women who are in various levels of their pregnancy, so there are modifications to it.I look forward to doing the 20 minute cardio section throughout my whole pregnancy and look forward to using both the trimester additional workouts.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Pregnancy DVD
I have tried most of the pregnancy DVD's out there and this by far is the best.It is not easy, but you do not feel over worked, but you do feel as though you have gotten a great work out.I did work out pre-pregnancy and felt as though the others were too easy.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great workout
Not to crazy of Denise Austin but thought I'd give it a try. I ended up liking the workout. If you have exercised before your pregnancy and would like to still workout than I recommend this DVD. It is a safe workout and it still makes you break a sweat. ... Read more

    5-0 out of 5 stars C'est super!
I think this may even be better than L'Auberge. This is a laugh-out-loud at the awkwardness of real life situations film. You do not have to be a francophile to enjoy this film - my husband loved it as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars The sequel is best than the first film,"L Aubergue espagnole" ( "The Spanish apartment")...
"Les poupees russes" (= "Russian dolls") is the sequel to "L Aubergue espagnole" (= "The Spanish apartment"), an entertaining film about young people living in a foreign country and trying to find their path in life.
5-0 out of 5 stars great film
Well I actually bought this movie already from the sister amazon site amazon.fr. The international collectors edition is a region 2 enoded movie, but if you have one of many dvd players that through a little passcode on the controller will play any movie of any region.Looking at the description of the USA package it seems like a waste of money, because the original DVD not only has english subs for non francophones, but a bonsus disk with directors interviews and much more. The movie takes place 5 years after lauberge espanole. Basically Xavier comes to the conclusion that being a lady killer is nice, but to truly be happy and find real love you need to settle down. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Story of an Overachiever in Sports.
This film documents the training and durability of Steve Prefontaine from Oregon to become a track star who overcame all odds to win.In his early live, he had been picked on by bullies because of his mother's nationality so, like Forrest Gump, he had to learn to run fast from those crass youngsters. When he finished high school, he was courted by several universities but chose to stay in his home state to be trained by Bill Bowerman at the University of Oregon.
4-0 out of 5 stars A very good bio pick of a great runner who died too young
Steve Prefontaine, a record setting middle distance runner, won all his races against Americans. He led his race in the 1972 Olympics but faded to fourth by a breath. He died in a car accident (drinking was involved, but to what degree is debated) in 1975 at the age of 24.All admit that he wasn't the perfect physical specimen for a runner, but he was gritty and tenacious and would not give anything less than everything he had.
5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing
This is such a great true story of a man that we can all look up to.Prefontaine was an amazing runner who was the holder of every American distance-running record from 2,000 to 10,000 meters. The cast is top quality and the story will make you clue yourself to the seat so get some pop corn and a drink before you start because this is an amazing movie about a man who was spectacular. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars A Haole Weighs In
First off, I loved Stacy Peralta's DOGTOWN AND THE Z BOYS so much, I'm pretty much willing to watch anything he makes. And RIDING GIANTS was certainly worth my time. Admittedly, I'm a southern California native had a VW surfer van for 20 years, so this type of material has a nostalgic appeal to me that may blind me to its faults.
5-0 out of 5 stars a love affair.
This is one of the most entertaining compelling and down right fun movies that I have ever seen.I have watched several surfing movies and this one is the best. There is an actual progression of thought and intensity as the film progresses.Unlike other surf films where mutch of the time surfers do their thing and that is all (some zenlike experience of these supermen on surfboards pulling halucinogenic moves in some far off land) this film had a direction, a progression, a logic that takes the audience along with the people in the film.Greg Noll is definately the comic relief, however, he is also the most exposed emotionally.yes he does curse a little bit.It is somewhat distracting, but the film is soooooo worth it if you choose to ignore his verbage. As a whole the cinematography and creative 3D re-creations of photos are inspiring. The truly astounding sizes of these waves are something to be dreamed about if you are in one of those land locked states. Please watch this movie. This movie will, as Greg Noll put it, make you fall in love with the sea and surfing even if you haven't ever surfed or even touched an ocean.Inspiring.

4-0 out of 5 stars Greg Null - Cusses Up A Storm and RUINS MOVIE for me!
I really enjoyed the video aspect of this movie. The waves were awesome. And having lived in Hawaii where some of this was is taken from (filmed) it brought back great memories of riding the waves and alse getting pounded (wipeout!).

2-0 out of 5 stars almost as exciting as watching golf on tv
ok, i have an admission to make: i have always said this is one of the most boring movies ever made, but i never actually saw it til now. not that i didnt pay my way into the theater because i did. but i fell asleep after 20 minutes or so and never actually SAW the movie. now i have. worse movies have won the oscar: "gandhi", "kramer vs kramer", "the english patient", maybe a few more. but i dont think theres ever been a duller movie. that said, i gave it 2 stars instead of one to honor the all-too-brief shots of dennis christopher who was dreamycreamy back then, but is only on screen about 5 minutes. frankly, i found the two "heroes" to be a pair of self-centered religious zealots, and prigs to boot. and god, i loathe that vangelis music that played constantly for the decade after the movies release. my gawd, this thing beat "reds" for a best picture oscar?!?!? maybe i shall go back and take away the second star ...

    5-0 out of 5 stars Wide-Screen Finally!
Before this wide-screen edition of CHARIOTS OF FIRE was released, I was extremely reluctant to recommend buying this DVD. Now that it is out, and that the sound has been made crisper, there is nothing that should prevent anyone from buying this product.
5-0 out of 5 stars Chariots of Fire
What an amazing film! This is the story of a real olympics and the participants who represented Great Britain in track. The main characters are really well developed and include Abraham who is attending Cambridge University and besides being a stellar student of law has been graced with the ability to sprint. He is Hebrew in a Christian world son to a financier. He enrolls a coach named Mr. Masanbini who admits he can't put in what god left out but none the less agrees to train the young Ben.

5-0 out of 5 stars OVERLOOKED INNOVATOR FINALLY GETS HIS DUE
Brian Pillman was one of my favorite wrestlers since I first saw him in 1991 on WCW Pro(I think it was called). He was still the high flying fan favorite then and was about to win the new WCW Cruserweight championship.Little did I know what was in store for this man nor what he had already done in his life.I wont recap all of that, the dvd does that just fine.
    5-0 out of 5 stars R.I.PBrian Pillman
I saw Pillman wrestle a few months before his dead, too bad I cant remember how the match went. The bio on Pillman was sad. He was a great star turn into a shell of himself after his accident. Also, his matches are short on this set but Pillman puts on a hell of a show in a few short minutes. The matches were great considering they featured early WCW cage matches that ive always wanted to see. A few funny things about the set is the back of the dvd says more then 15 matches, there is 16 in all. Anther is Dustin Runnels is interviewed and the capation says former WWE star Golddust. Well its nice to know that he retired by watching this. Great dvd and a excellent buy. Next up, Roddy Pipper dvd!

4-0 out of 5 stars Loose Cannon
The documentary was really, really good. They left some stuff out of it, of course, but you know why they did so it sort of makes sense. One thing I did not remember was the prodigious mullet Brian sported back in the day.Man, I think that thing was more impressive than Jagr's Cup-winning mullet of the early-90s!

I am not a surfer, but I do love the water and love watching waves.
4-0 out of 5 stars fun, exciting, touching
hailing from southern california, i've always been fascinated with surfing and surf culture.i remember being a little tyke and watching my dad out on the ways with the wooden surfboard he made in the my grandpa's garage.for whatever reason, i've not actually gotten on the board and tried it myself, though one day i certainly will.to enjoy the art of surfing and embrace the surfing lifestyle, however, one need not necessarily be a surfer, because it's a lot more than just standing on a board or shredding, it's a state of mind.

5-0 out of 5 stars Video Exerciser
I have used Denise's videos/DVDs for years. This is one of the best.I have been waiting for a Denise workout that uses more stability ball! The exercises are challenging, yet simple to do.These workouts seem good for beginners, as well as, those who are already fit.If you like Denise, I highly recommend this DVD.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good workout, too enthusiastic instructor :-l
Denise Austin really is a good instructor. The only problem I have with her is that she is a little over the top enthusiastic and talks a little too much and isn't always in time to the music or with her own counting.

5-0 out of 5 stars "Trade me right_____ now!" and hang up.
This is the undisputed king of hockey films, but it's exposure probably suffered from being a hockey film.If this film's dialog had been set to a football theme, every man in America would have a copy under his pillow, but non-hockey guys often won't give it a chance. The overlapping dialog, the many complex characters, the solid soundtrack, the gallows humor and the manipulations all tie together to make this a great film. This film is hilarious, but it has grit that you don't see in most comedies. It's dark in the corners, like an old hockey arena.Almost every outdoor scene is overcast. The towns are dirty, like Northern towns are in the winter. It's a really cool movie.
5-0 out of 5 stars The "Cup" Winner
Slapshot is one of the greatest sports movies ever made and certainly the best hockey movie ever made.It isn't just about winning games and goons fighting. It develops the human impact of playing low minor league hockey, how family and relationships are effected, and the life they live.I've seen it 20 times and will watch it 20 more.

5-0 out of 5 stars no restrains

5-0 out of 5 stars The "Reel" Arnold
Bodybuilding used to be a beautiful sport. There were a few guys that maybe weighed close to 250lbs but they still had lines, proportions, and symmetry. Nowadays the sport is filled with guys who weigh 300+ and they're only 5'11". In a word, they look absolutely ridiculous. Now I wouldn't go down to Venice Beach and tell them that unless I really wanted to know what my butt smelled like, but there really is no sense of style about the sport anymore. In fact, I think the last time bodybuilding was a thing of real beauty and art was probably in 1983. I think as soon as Frank Zane walked off the stage for the last time, bodybuilding just became a freak show.
5-0 out of 5 stars It is worth the 10 bucks,
I saw this when it first came out in video. It is pretty cool seeing again after many years. It is worth the money. Also, if you can find an old copy of his "Education of a Bodybuilder" that is an interesting read as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars Bravo!
I have seen many hundreds of movies in my lifetime, and I must say, this is very close to being my favorite.
5-0 out of 5 stars Pure Inspiration!
Crossworders-quel subculture!I had no idea that this world was out there, this competitive bunch of crossworders, but I must say that I am indeed a better person for now knowing! The movie begins by introducing the audience to a group people who are the key players in an annual crossword competition held/hosted by Will Shortz, editor of the NYT crossword puzzle. In following these different people (literally from all walks of life-a homosexual, a mid-west family man, a college student, a single female) the audience almost becomes a part of their group. It was absolutely warming, to say the least (Ellen Ripstein has got to be one of my all-time favorite characters!).Oddly enough, rules of the crossword puzzle are given, and the difficult nature of actually solving one, especially the NYT, is revealed. After leaving the theatre I was determined to solve one (I am embarrassed to say that I started small and have finally solved a Monday puzzle, and am coming close to a Tuesday! It really is a new way of thinking!); it has been a really long road!Aside from being really well made, Wordplay was also salted with cameos from icons of American society such as Bill Clinton, Ken Burns and Jon Stewart. To watch them work on these puzzles was great-as well as putting their pants on one leg at a time, they (sometimes) struggle with the crossword puzzle too!
4-0 out of 5 stars The World of Crossword Puzzles Explored - Good Stuff
For me, crossword puzzles have been a casual thing, I might find one in the airline magazine on a flight and work on it to pass the time or my wife, who is a much more avid fan, might have left a partially finished one about, which I will pick up and see if I can find some answers.

5-0 out of 5 stars Track stars are great
You really have to be a track fan to appreciate this video. It is a well put-together drama about a guy who didn't fit the stereotype of a runner. I think this is a great story.

    4-0 out of 5 stars Emotive !
For anybody who loves track & field, this movie will be full of emotions. Well balanced between the story of the his live, human relationship between him and the trainer, history of the sport, technical details, and human feelings.

5-0 out of 5 stars Taking Control Where There is None!
great film making! great film time, you dont feel cheated on a short film for one second. Shows a lil past from the good old days, but not too much to take away from the race.
5-0 out of 5 stars The best motored documentary
This documentary brings the reality of the Baja to life. The trials and tribulations of the people that challenge the Baja 1000 race are highlighted in this film. The quality of the images make you feel like you are there with the racers. If you watch this on a big screen you might even get the butterflies in your stomach like you get when you are actually doing this type of adventure.Fantastic film and I would recommend it to anyone that has ever thought of going off-road up to the seasoned off-road veteran.

5-0 out of 5 stars The amazing race!
What a great movie! They put you right into the drivers/riders seat and by the end of the movie, I felt as if I was actually there. For those of you old enough to have seen On Any Sunday as a kid, you will love this movie! It's a great adventure, and what an amazing race! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Shaolin Soccer
I thought the movie had great action. There also, was a little comedy here and there.

4-0 out of 5 stars This movie is deserving of a better DVD
I love this movie. This and Kung Fu Hustle are among my favorite kung fu flicks of all time. The story is absolutely absurd but the movie is so much fun that I could care less. It's funny, touching and inspired, with some instances of cheesy special effects and strange humor laced throughout. If you liked Kung Fu Hustle at all, you have to watch this film. It's that simple.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very good.
Over all very good.I wish there were more clips from games where these moves are made.Maybe several for each move. Also, it would be nice if they had the move from an overhead angle.I would very much recommend this, but not to anyone who plays in the Newton Indoor Sports over 35 league and is not on FC Brookline.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for breaking down lots of moves
I bought this DVD for my U10 boys team to watch when our practice is rained out.The format is great. It shows about 10-15 different moves, first at full speed by a professional player in a real game, then slow motion, then as modeled by teenagers slowly and at all differt angles, then more at full speed and against someone. It hasn't rained yet, but I know they are going to love this DVD.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent variety of moves, but middling game footage
I bought this video to help me coach a youth team.I played D-I in college but that was a long time ago! This video has a huge amount of moves, and shown/explained very well.An under-8 team will appreciate this video, as will older youth players. My only complaint, which stops me from giving this 5 stars, is that the film footage of 'World Class' players was a bit middling. There's lots of footage from the greats (pele, garrincha, cruyff, etc) that would have been far more impressive, and effective, than what was included in the dvd.Still, I can recommend this video to players, parents, and youth coaches. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Yesterday, All My Troubles Seemed So Far Away
I Believe In Yesterday. This reminded me of why I began to play the beautiful game and why my children play today. The passion, the scene, the happening that was the New York Cosmos and the NASL in the late 70's was inspiring for generations of US Soccer Players. Thanks for bringing back all of those memories and bringing me back to my roots.

5-0 out of 5 stars Once in a Lifetime
Okay, so maybe I was too young to remember the nineteen seventies and era of the New York Cosmos soccer team. But, after seeing this movie I wish I had been around to witness the soccer extrazaganza that really was the New York Cosmos. This movie brilliantly captures everything of that time from the actual inception of the North American Soccer League to Pele's arrival with the Cosmos. Indeed the original footage of Pele's time in New York used in the movie, is truly incredible! Better still is the funny and triumphant saga of Cosmos owner Steve Ross' determination to capture Pele's signature over other interested partiesthat included Juventus and Real Madrid. This movie evengoes one better with a fantastic soundtrack which includes the likes of James Brown, The Supremes, Diana Ross, The Jam and The Jackson Sisters. I would thoroughly recommend any soccer or general sports fan to check this movie out if not just to see and hear soccer greats Franz Beckenbauer and Carlos Alberto fondly recall their wonderful times they both experienced playing for the New York Cosmos. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Not funny...Not good...Not entertaining
I wanted to like this movie because the premise was interesting. The movie was horrible. Not worth the money to buy new, used, or to rent.

Get it?...National Assocition for the Advancement of Chattel People, Sambo's Axle Grease, "slave based economy"...it is from Spike Lee.
4-0 out of 5 stars Gives You Thought
There are some major short comings in this film. Most of it focused on the improbable history that follows a Southern victory in the Civil War.If you are looking for alternative history fiction, then go grab a Turtledove novel. This film is more of a biting satire of what life might be like if slavery still existed.Set as a documentary with faux commercials and news reports--all of which are very racial. The interesting thing is that at the end of the film, you learn that most of the products in the commercials really did exist at one time in America.I found the film to be clever and though provoking. As for the alternate history timeline, it left a lot to be desired. ...
