1-0 out of 5 stars this movies blows!
if you can get this movie for under $3.00 do it, otherwise leave it be. youd be better off to sit in front of your tv with it off for 80-something minutes.
5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible!
This was the most incredible Zombie movie I have ever seen.State of the art special effects and wonderful acting.Superb storyline and incredible directing.A++

1-0 out of 5 stars DEATH ROW
Poorly done zombie flick that never scares up any scares, and has some preposterous gaps in credibility and editing.Where in the world did the blood come from that brought the executioners back? Why was the most despicable character in the movie the only one who survived? What was this thing about Bill being hired to beat up Christoph?Huh?....no one in the cast can be accused of acting; you may recognize Samuel Page from "The Brotherhood", but the rest of the cast is pretty unknown and will probably stay that way.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Zombie Horror
Being a Full Moon Movie, I was alittle skeptic about getting it as first. Although, I had seen Puppetmaster, and loved it, they don't exactly put out the best movies, in my opinion. But being a zombie movie fan, I knew I had to see it. I'm glad I did...
1-0 out of 5 stars Sometimes bad zombie movies are just bad.
I've seen this film get a lot of decent reviews around the web, and I want to do my best to set the record straight. This movie sucks. And it sucks pretty hard. The reviews I've seen seem mostly to come from people that fancy themselves zombie/B-movie fanatics who haven't actually seen all that many cheapo zombie movies, and give it way too much credit. The Dead Next Door is a prime example of a great cheapo zombie movie. This is a prime example of a waste of 2 hours, and a movie that will annoy you if you really love zombie movies.
1-0 out of 5 stars Should be illegal to call this a movie
O.k. I love horror movies. This was an insult to the genre. The storyline sucked. The acting sucked, the special effects sucked. I have seen some bad movies but this one is probably the worst. My overiding thoughtwas that this movie stole 90 minutes from my life. The only thing it has going for it is the cool artwork on the cover; don't let that fool you! There should be guidelines about putting out movies that are this bad. Can an armless man play guitar? Can you put fesces in a can and sell it as a chocolate topping? Well, The Dead Hate the Living has gotten away with just that. It should be illegal to pass this off as a real movie. Not even hallucinogens can make this one enjoyable. It's that bad ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Backlash on backlash "Oblivion 2"
The first downfall is no subtitles or closed captioning. But if you are a fan of low budget campy quirky fun, then backlash is for you.Seeing Julie Newmar and Meg Foster alone is worth the price of the movie.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun, but not as good as the first...

4-0 out of 5 stars Better DVD transfer available
I have always liked this film but have avoided purchasing this stand alone DVD due to reviews here about the quality.I just purchased a 2 DVD/4 movie box called TIME TRAVELERS put out by Brentwood which has THE DAY TIME ENDED on it...and the transfer/audio/color and picture all look great to me,at least as good as my VHS copy...maybe even better. If you're a fan of the film seek out this boxset if the single DVD release isn't up to par.

2-0 out of 5 stars With a bit of a mind flip, you're into the time slip...
`Their lives became a living hell...when past, present and future collided!'That's the tagline used on the DVD case for The Day Time Ended aka Earth's Final Fury aka Vortex aka Time Warp (1980).I knew how they felt for 90 minutes, watching this film (the DVD case states approximately 90 minutes, but it was more like 70 to 75 minutes)...okay, maybe it wasn't that bad, but you'd think a film credited with four writers could at least have made sense...rarely have I seen a film so lacking in direction or plot...directed by John `Bud' Cardos (Kingdom of the Spiders, Outlaw of Gor), the film stars Jim Davis (you may remember him as Jock Ewing on TV's Dallas), Dorothy Malone (Peyton Place), Natasha Ryan (Kingdom of the Spiders, The Amityville Horror), Marcy Lafferty, who was once married to William Shatner, both of whom appeared in 1977's Kingdom of the Spiders, along with the above mentioned Ryan, Scott C. Kolden (Sigmund and the Sea Monsters), and Christopher Mitchum (American Commandos, Magic Kid), son of actor Robert Mitchum (I'll saw one thing about Chris is that looking at his credits of low budget, schlocky B films, it doesn't look like he relied on nepotism to get good roles).
2-0 out of 5 stars A Cult Movie Has Been Ruined By The Poor Transfer To DVD
The quality of this DVD is worse than my orignal 10 year old VHS tape. Movement of characters across the screen is jerky, sound is PCM 48Khz 16bit sick stereo (dialogue on left channel, music on right). Picture format is 4:3 Fullframe.

I'DEPPRESSED I NEED A CLOWN,BOZO NO!,RONALD NO!,KILLJOY...HELL YEAH!THIS MOVIE IS NON-STOP FAKE BLOOD & GORE FULL-MOON GOODY!

1-0 out of 5 stars Hahahaha It sucks
this movie is by far the stupidest horror ever....i had rented it a few days ago w/ my best friend since we love watching horror movies when she sleeps over...well lemme tell ya..me and her were pratically pissin ourselves through the whole movie...we made fun of every line killjoy had to say we said he is "the fakest ghetto clown ever"..then we wanted to see if the sequel was any better...we were sooo wrong...the sequel was SEMI better..but not by much..frankly, the 2nd was half as funny as the 1st...and they changed the look of the costume and the voice which really wasn't that cool....anyways..take my advice...i may be 13 but this movie sucks!...go watch a movie that acually can be considered "HORROR"

5-0 out of 5 stars The Worst best movie in the world ever
Killjoy is a clown! And i have to say he's by far the funniest clown i've ever seen. Me and my Friend Leon (I have to give him a mention as he made me watch this epic) stumbled onto this work of genius by accident and so far we have yet to see an unintentionally funnier horror film, the work is just plain inspired! You may think im exaggerating but please buy it and you'll understand. The story is basically centred around a killer clown summoned up by a ghetto child but to be honest you don't really need to know the story as it's a piece of crap, it's all about the acting and set pieces which are truly awful in a laugh out loud way , it's magic. And to top it all off the disc also comes with a "making of" which in itself is hilarious. The director really does believe that he is directing a classic of "Night of the living dead" proportions. And the actors all think that it's there big break into "Hollywood". Its truly the worst film ever made and for that reason alone it stands as a classic. The word Turkey was born for this. Awesome.. Please buy it...and react and join the Killjoy Fanclub.... ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars GOOD AND ENTERTAINING; NOTHING MORE
Unlike the two sequels, this first installment was actually not a waste of time. It had the correct mix of everything-sex, violence, mystery and not to many victims. There is such a thing asoverkilling, even in sensless slasher flicks. This could have been the launching pad for some decent sequels. Such was not the case. The story behind the story was told just right. Parts of this movie were corny, but any slasher fan will be satisfied. I was , but not much more.

1-0 out of 5 stars it SUCKS
I rented this movie just last week, after the first 30 minutes i realized that i had already seen this before, latenight on cable. One of the worst B movies ive ever seen. Bad acting, bad filming, nothing realy scary.

4-0 out of 5 stars Another reason Full Moon Productions is missed....
Full Moon productions made some of the best cheesy horror movies of all time. Puppet Master and Subspecies are two wonderful examples. Witchouse is another of their great hidden treasures.

3-0 out of 5 stars creeps
Bashing this movie is simply stupid.Right off the bat you should know that it's a low budget, schlocky B movie. Not really what you would call horror, either. This movie did it's job for me.It entertained me and I bought it for about $3.The story is good enough to keep you interested.Of the 8 member cast, 2 did an alright job.The little blond, altough wasn't a good actress, was OK on the eyes and at times funny. You really think she thinks she's giving an Oscar worthy performance and that's funny to me.One other thing; the little dude who played Dracula, was the best actor in the movie.I thought he did a good job.

1-0 out of 5 stars What a mistake!
this is one of the worst movies i have ever seen! it very much reminds me of something you would see on the family channel. i bought this movie thinking it might be worth a cheap laugh, but by the middle of this, i just found myself embarassed to be watching it. i didnt even bother watching the ending.

1-0 out of 5 stars BAND ON THE RUN
Director Charles Band has given us some strange but fun movies such as THE REANIMATOR, but in this one, I think he's gone off the deep end.In the VIDEO ZONE feature, he extols his cast saying how good actors they are?Charles, please....there's not one solid performance in this whole movie, and your boasting of the originality of having the monsters three feet tall is ridiculous. How frightening can these clowns be?Rhonda Griffin and Kristin Norton are the worst actresses I have ever seen, and Bill Moynihan is atrocious.Only Justin Lauer as the hero comes across with any kind of screen presence. This one's not even funny enough to be considered camp.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great!
Ok. This is a wonderful terrible movie. Porn fans will think the star of this movie looks like Ron Jeremy. Anyway, this film falls apart so terrible at the end you can tell that there wasn't any money at the end of the production. Which leads to lots of running around with ridiculous chases. An alien wins a trip to the horniest place in the universe, which happens to be in the northeast, and stirs up trouble with humans who want to kill him. His enemies include: a terribly cast Italian mob crew and a band of Jewish rednecks. The Jewish rednecks are worth the purchase alone. Anyway, if you like bad movies, you will love this.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wisconsin Cheese-Heads Need Not Watch!
I went back and watched it a second time (and it was even better on the repeat). This sour grapes girl from Wisconsin (oh yeah, Madison is the PCcapital of the world) just doesn't know much about what makes a moviefunny.By the way, her watch is broken because I clocked planty of nakedT&A time. This movie rocks!

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst movie I've ever seen
I apologize to the people who made this movie, but it is really the most moronic, crude, and vile piece of garbage I've ever had the misfortune of being dumb enough to watch."Galactic Gigolo" cannot be enjoyed on anykind of "camp value" level. It is not "so bad, it'sgood."It is so bad, it's really, really, really bad, stupid, andrepulsive.Somebody on the IMDb has the same opinion, and I just feel theneed to back him up here because I hated this movie so much, and I don'tunderstand how anybody could say they enjoyed it unless they have an I.Q.lower than a vegetable's or are pals with the director.I could lie, andtell you it was great, and to go see it right away, just because miseryloves company, but I'm not that petty. If I could give it no stars, Iwould.By the way, I think there's maybe like three seconds of T&A, sodon't bother if that's what you're after. This movie relies on its"comedy", which no amount of naked women could possibly redeem anyway. ... Ayoung mall man named Tomy Ward a scientist and a police cop must stop this creature from space. Will he succed find out in the zappy out of this world conclusion.

3-0 out of 5 stars A Fun Film But Nothing More
I saw this at a local Suncoast and, being a fan of giant monster films, I decided to pick this one up. I wasn't expecting much from this film knowing it was made by a production facility that ended up going bankrupt several years after this film and also knowing it had a shoestring budget (smaller than most of the earlier Godzilla films).

3-0 out of 5 stars FREDA PAYNE, STICK TO SINGING!!:)
C'mon, now, Full Moon Pictures...if you wanted to cast the role of a priestess of voodoo/black magic, Freda Payne didn't do the job here. She's such a great songstress to feature in this 2-bit role. In fact, at times I sensed she sang her lines, rather than spoke them! While the movie had it's high points, it was more comical than scary. More like a '90s version of Blacula! Hmmm...also who's the ruff-n-tuff guy who goes in-and-out of personalities ranging from Little Richard to Mike Tyson! What a riot!! The ragdoll puppet would have been more effective if special effects were geared to body movements, rather than motion-gliding through her slash scenes. The kids can stay up and watch this one...just tell them the blood is grape jelly!! Great soundtrack from some unknowns, too!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrendously bad and annoying
Typical tale of witchcraft, some college kids dig up a few corpses (to identify the DNA), the witch takes over their bodies and turns the rest into ghouls.A few are left to fight against her, helped out by a mysterious guy who knows the secret of the witch. But none of that really matters.

2-0 out of 5 stars Direct to Video - 80s Style
This is the fourth and last of the direct to video efforts that Tim Kincaid wrote and directed for Charles Band between 1985 and 1987. As with "Mutant Hunt," "Breeders" and "Robot Holocaust", this movie, originally called "Maximum Thrust", was shot in 10 days for around $100,000 and like those films it has production values and locations only a notch above the late 1960s, early 1970s work of NYC exploitation filmmakers like Doris Wishman and is far less enjoyable.
2-0 out of 5 stars A very messed up movie.
This film might have worked if the budget was larger than a teenagers allowance. The ingredients for this movie stew include cyborgs, voodoo, political assasination and human sacrifice; all languidly mixed together and under-cooked.

1-0 out of 5 stars Complete waste of time
I was really looking forward to seeing this movie, as I'm quite a fan of Full Moon pictures.A lot of them are very entertaining (Slave Girls From Beyond Infinity, Hideous, Shrieker, Crash And Burn, Jigsaw, etc). However, this one is just plain crap. It's about some kids who are hiking through the woods, and one of them stumbles across a train tunnel which has supposedly been there for thousands of years.Inside he finds the mummified corpse of Demonicus. He puts on the gladiator's helmet, is overcome by the spirit of Demonicus, and goes around killing the other kids. The guy who plays Demonicus might be in fairly good shape for a college baseball player, but as a gladiator, he looks ridiculous. He's just too skinny, and he runs like a girl. The other characters aren't really that bad, they're vaguely likable, but the script is what really drags this thing down.Half of the dialogue is utter nonsense.People are constantly saying things that don't even make sense, and it gets really annoying.I could stand the boredom of watching some vaguely likable people walking around in the woods, but when they're talking nonsense I have to wonder why I'm wasting my time.
2-0 out of 5 stars THIS IS PRETTY BAD
I have always enjoyed a truly good cheesy B movie...but DEMONICUS is so badly done that it's hard to find anything of merit. It's pretty low even for Full Moon standards.Filmed in the Angeles National Forest, it's a pale comparison to the Italian alps.Director Jay Woehl (?) offers little in the ways of suspense, and the cast...well, I don't know where they found them, but acting is not their forte.Even Gregory Lee Kenyon, the studly dude who plays the possessed gladiator, has little energy, and the one "sword fight" is so badly staged, it's laughable...and it was choreographed by said G L Kenyon. The gore is even so fake it's not gory; the special effects, if that's what you'd call them, are prehistoric compared to even the gladiator movies of the sixties. So, I would avoid this movie, unless you want to rent it on a night you're having your worst enemies over.Definitely, I don't think I'd buy it...unless for a penny at a yard sale. Why the two stars?I guess because I finished watching it?

4-0 out of 5 stars Cheesy But Delightful
My friend and I rent B-movies just so we can rip on them, and this movie was a perfect oppourtunity for us to have a few good laughs.First of all, it starts out with some co-ed wondering into an ominous cave with a inconspicuous man-made cement arch marking the entrance. The guy finds this petrified corpse and suddenly becomes an archaeologist with such quotes as "Perfectly preserved" despite the 'open' cave entrance, and "This must be a thousand years old' ; c'mon, what college do these kids go to?Anyway, the kid decides to play dress up and puts on the helmet worn by the corpse... What the heck.. He then becomes possessed by the spirit named Demonicus.. Wow.Thusly beginning his scene where he messes around with all the weapons, and goes out to kill his girlfriend and his other friends.Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Low Budget Loser
Don't waste your time with this low budget (high priced) DVD.This reminds me of an amateur "garage" band that never performed on stage. This flick is a total loser. The effects are phoney and amateur...the blood effects look like spilled cranberry juice...the music is so overdone you think you're at the symphony...and the actors and actresses flunked drama in elementary school. This is a pitiful, low-life, boring, silly and idiotic production that should have been released into space...not into DVD.

5-0 out of 5 stars Low Budget, Big Idea
A must see for the serious aspiring filmmaker.Interesting low budget effects, great acting, and a lofty idea made interesting despite budgetary constraints. Also contains interesting additional material.

1-0 out of 5 stars So bad, the filmmakers diss it on the commentary track!!
This movie is bad, and I mean BAD!It's so bad that when you listen to the commentary track on the DVD, you find out that even the writer, director, producer, etc think it's horrible. They tell a few things about the movie and how they made it, but most of it is talking about how the movie is horrible, utter garbage. They talk about how no one is probably hearing what they're saying, because they already shut it off, took it back to the rental store, and threw it in the employee's face. The movie itself seems like a waste of time. Why did they make it, when it seems they only put 1% of effort into it?They even talk like the movie was so under- budget it couldn't be made right.Stay away from this movie, no matter what you do.If you see Full Moon or Tempe Video on any movies, it's probably a good idea to stay away from all of them....I have yet to see these two groups release anything even close to watchable. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars David DeCoteau's Creepozoids
The year is 1998, six years after a nuclear war has leveled the earth. Don't you love sci-fi movies that make dire futuristic predictions, just so we can live through the very years that are supposed to be among mankind's worst? Anyway, a band of two women and three men, all army deserters, find a strange bunker laboratory where an experiment gone awry waits to pick them off one by one... if you have chills from this plot description, turn down your air conditioner. This same exact plot has been done to death in so many films, I am sick of mentioning it, although I just did. What is wrong with this film? Where do I begin?1-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Bland Stuff!Trashy!
I saw this movie and it was nothing special, neat cheesy effects though, but the story didn't really go anywhere. Linnea Quigley looked good though and it didn't show just her nudity. They gave this movie a quick theatricalrelease before going on to video. They also tried to make a sequel to thistrashy movie, but was never released. It probably would've gone straight tovideo if it did. ... Read more
