good dvd
I use this dvd quite a lot because sometimes it is the only one I have time for.Also, in the morning I can't do too much.I love the morning one with Rodney Yee, he is my favorite.It is very gentle and relaxing but gives a good stretching.Not good if you are wanting a challange.The PM one is good also, more challanging. I know some people have wrote that it didn't put them to sleep and it doesn't.But I don't think that is what it is suppose to do.It relaxes you and relieves stress. Beautiful scenery like all the Gaiam dvds.

not bad
Well this is my first yoga video, and i thought it was ok. The AM workout is a bit easy, and there are some moves in the PM that I need to practice. I do think both streches move a little fast, they should hold the poses a bit longer to allow you to catch up. I like it because it is short and I feel pretty good when i am done. I will probably try a couple other vids from others to see how they compare.

I had a wonderful birth!
I used this DVD throughout all of my pregnancy and it was wonderful. It reall taught me to relax and breath. It also helped me stretch my body in ways that were healthy for me and my baby. I had a wonderful birth, naturally and without pain. I feel this DVD was responsible for much of my peaceful birthing experience.

I ordered this product when I was in the middle of my second trimester. I did yoga before my pregnancy but only occassionally. So, I'm not a big practitioner.

Shiva Rea has an amazing ability to help you find peace and calm during this joyous and sometimes emotionally unstable time. The poses are gentle and flowing and offer a great way to maintain strength and flexibility throughout all three trimesters. Bryan Kest provides an excellent workout, and unlike other yoga DVDs, each of his three sessions is long enough (about 50 minutes each) to be considered a workout.I love it!

Very difficult and frustrating for beginners
I recommend you watch the video without exercising a couple of times because the commands are confusing when you are trying to get into the poses."Left foot here, right foot pointing here, breath out, put left hand where right foot used to be then do the hokey pokey without falling over.I imagine it gets easier as you learn them but I found his commands to rapid and poses very hard.

A great way to strengthen your mind and body
I'm always looking for ways to strengthen my body without going to the gym... which always leaves me unsatisfied.This yoga practice really pushes your boundaries- both mentally and physically.

GREAT Workout!
This DVD is fantastic. I have tried other power yoga DVD's and have not been able to keep up with it or found them to be relaxing. The workout energizes me and lets me relax into the poses. It flows extremely well and I have no difficulty at all with keeping up with it. It will definitely get your heart pumping and all your muscles moving. My arms and legs have become a lot more shapely thanks to yoga and this DVD.

Very Good
This DVD is good for both the beginning and more advanced yoga enthusiasts who want a solid basic home workout.The beginning practice comes first, with simpler poses like the downward facing dog, and then later on the workout becomes more intense.Remember this is POWER yoga and is intended to Make You Sweat.

Rodney Yee is one of the best Yoga instructors out there and so I knew this would be a good dvd that is taught by an experienced and very qualified instructor.It's a great workout and you don't have to be overly advanced in yoga to do this, because you can do the first half, or keep going if you are up to it.He has a calm way of cuing (it's done as a voice over but in a nice pleasant way) and he has used an excellent setting - Hawaii (for some reason I find this also adding to the relaxation factor).

wow
This video really gets it done.Nothing to hard to follow and nothing to easy.I really enjoy working out now.It is so inspirational that it makes you just want to get up and get in shape.

Great workout
I have been using the tape for a week now. I do both cardio segments and the sculpting one. After just a week I can fit into clothes I bought 4 years ago that I havent been able to fit into. I would give it 5 stars but on my CD the bootcamp segment doesnt work, it takes you thru the warmup and then I get a black screen and it goes back to the main menu. It does it on the custom workout and the 6 week program. I dont want to send it back though because of the price and results I am getting so far. Other then that I highly recommend this video for a great workout and results.

Love this Workout!
Denise definitely targets "ALL" of your female fat zones from your butt, thighs, front and back arms, love handles, upper tummy and lower tummy.If you use this video plus a cardio workout, you will definitely see the results of a slimmer you!

Just what I needed!
I'm a mom of 2 kids and finding time for a workout is really a problem.With Denise's workouts which are quick and fun, I get to finish it to the last minute and I feel very accomplished!I've tried Taebo but I feel like a loser towards the end when I don't finish it coz of time constraints and difficulty.I definitely recommend this for those like me who has less time and who's just starting an exercise routine.This is worth it!A great workout video indeed!

Great Workout
This workout will get you reslts.I did it for about a month and was completely toned. I wasnt that out of shape to begin with but it certainly worked its magic quickly.I would say its a bit difficult to get through... what I like is that even after youve done it for a month its still somewhat of a challenge to finish.The areas worked are exactly where women need it, you wont be disapointed.I dont mind her personally either.Its a bit much but when your doing a difficult workout it can be a welcome boost. ... love it!
I'm giving this 5 stars, although it should be said this is the first workout video I've tried so I don't really have anything to compare it to.But I bought it because I had tried pilates briefly awhile ago and enjoyed it, and I wanted to strenghten my whole body.I have 3 kids and only a spare 20 minutes or so out of a whole day; I've been using this dvd at night when they'e asleep.I really really like it.The moves aren't easy, but they are doable and I can feel it working.The next day, even after the first time I did it, I feel like I'm standing straighter.
Fun way to workout
This is a really fun workout for me. I tend to go for Pilates/Yoga blends and I thought this one was unique with the additional cardio component. I definitely "felt" the exercises, some were challenging (strength-wise for me) but I could still follow along without difficulty. I thought the instructor was perky and easy to follow. I think this workout would appeal to a wide audience.

Very Namaste
I loved Yoga Shakti very much. There were 2 DVDs and a booklet inside the case and the first DVD contained all 4 yoga workouts like Basic Flow, Solar Flow 1, Solar Flow 2 and Lunar Flow. Shiva Rea performs all of these vinyasa flow practices alone on the gorgeous beaches of Maldives'Island and Kerala, India.The extra archival footage included of Indian festivals and practices in temples is also a nice surprise.This DVD is definitely worth every penny.

Good to watch and great music - not good to practice yoga
I bought this DVD based on Shiva Rea's strong reputation and some amazon reviews, however, I am extremely disappointed.I like the concept of a customized DVD practice but it's not really practical.You spend too much time trying to watch the video while your head should be facing down or up in the poses.Impossible to follow along with out some verbal clues. In addition, you also spend too much time fiddling with the remote if you do want to customize your practice.How "yogic" is that? Almost the antithesis of vinyasa flow.Ideally, you should start a video and then become totally immersed in your practice as if the video is not there - not stop and start and strain your neck.At some point you should never even "watch" the video while doing yoga, just listen and practice.This is impossible with this format.Too bad, because it is very beautiful, has fabulous music and a wonderful spiritual slant in the introduction.A huge disappointment for an experienced yogini and would be even more so for a beginner. Buy the music only or the gorgeous Shiva-designed yoga clothes and do your own practice. Namaste.

Very disappointing!
I wish the cover had not looked so interesting. It made the dvd seem so promising. I found this boring and when it is not boring it is just too hard to follow. I found the matrix too complicated too. I also did not like all the "yoga speak". Another thing that bothers me: with many of these "star" teachers - it seems the focus of their dvds is more on them - then creating a user friendly workout. It seems, as others have pointed out, a bit self-idolizing.

Awesome
This is the yoga DVD I always reach for. I've lost a few pounds without even really trying, my core is strong and my shoulders are looking great. Plus, I feel so good afterwards, it keeps me coming back to it day after day. Thanks Ravi & Ana!

fun and highly effective
This is a great, basic workout that combines strength training and like all Kundalini Yoga workouts, light cardio. The instructor's are easy to follow and the routines are very well thought out. The music is the best I have heard in a yoga dvd. The first set, the spinal series works up the spine and is wonderful if you have any back tightness. Really loosens it up. The Perfect Workout for Preggos
Of all the prenatal videos I bought, this was my absolute favorite. It makes you sweat and helps to stretch you out, but more importantly, it's fun. I have some other videos and they put me right to sleep. I love this video.

Best labor and delivery prep
As someone who is of intermediate fitness level in the middle of my 2nd trimester, I was disappointed with the cardio (salsa) segment of this video.Maybe when I am deep in my 3rd trimester, this salsa dancing might be all I can handle.In the meantime, I will continue using Kathy Smith's Great Buns and Thighs Step workout for cardio (at beginner-level/low impact intensity), which I highly recommend.

A Real Blast
This is one of my favorite workout dvds!Not only does it blast away fat and blast your heartrate up for maximum cardio impact, it's also a real blast to do this workout!Way to go Billy Blanks!Tae Bo is terrific.

Not for the lazy, but great for beginners through advanced students!
This workout is not designed for beginners.That having been said, I am a beginner and really love this set.All of the moves are shown rather quickly before a set of them is performed, but the moves are easy to catch on to.As a beginner (or someone getting back into an exercise program), it is difficult to find something that is going to be do-able at a beginning level that you won't have to discard later because it is too easy.This set is great for beginners with initiative as well as advanced students. Though the program goes at a very fast pace, it is very easy to follow along and execute the same moves at a slower pace.
Simply put, Perfect.
I've been looking for a cardio/fat burner dvd to supplement my diet. I am a fit vegan that weighs 150~ lb. One thing that I aim to do is to have a "Bruce Lee" body. The fat blaster dvd is the way to do it. I am a beginner to any workout dvd or video. Since this is my first, I will say it is a bit of chalange to follow it step by step, especialy If you are a average person that has not done many physicaly intense activities (In my case, I have worked out before). I personaly love it. I dont have the Billy Bands, but I will say that I honestly dont need them. I have yet to follow the video pace by pace until the end. This set gets all my 5 stars. Great Pilates DVD!!!
This is another programmable dvd which is really useful for those who are short for time.You can also pre-program the workouts depending on your needs as well as your level.This is the first pilates dvd I have and I find Denise's instruction very useful.In one section, she doesn't do the workouts but only instructs one lady who's doing it, while in another section, she's all by herself doing the work.She also gives pointers on things to do and to avoid.Personally, I do all the 3 ab workouts since this is my problem area, while doing away the lower body workouts if I don't have time.During weekends and I wake up early, I do the whole workout, including the 15-minute pilates challenge. The challenge is a standing all-body workout which is really great!The background is a plus, it's nice and relaxing!Indeed, an excellent addition to your workout dvds!

Excellent Pilates workout
I've always loved Denise's workouts. This one is tops!! I love that I can customize my workout. What a feature!! And if I'm crunched for time I can just do one or two segments. I have recommended this video to others especially those interested in Pilates. Why take an overpriced class when you can do it at home with Denise? I'm showing great results in just a few times of using this video along with my cardio and strength training. Excellent workout!!!! Highly recommended!!!!

There's no doubt that this is a great workout...
But Denise goes way too fast and doesn't allow enough time for you get into position since she describes what she's doing as she's doing it, so unless you're very familiar with the workout already, chances are you'll feel as though you're rushing to keep up with her. This is by far the best! Honestly, do not buy any other pregnancy workout dvd. I've tried them all, this is the only one you'll need!
Great strength/toning workout!
This is a great strength building and toning workout.The instructions are clear and concise with different levels of endurance & intensity.This is great to use alternatively between areobic workouts.There are also special exercises to help you prepare for childbirth (kegels) added into the workout at different points.I like this because I easily forget to do these kinds of exercises daily and this is a nice way to fit them in.Many of the exercises remind me of ballet bar class (another great way to shape & tone).As a trained dancer and active mommy to be I highly recommend this workout.

Great for beginners
Being a person who is a little too shy to actually step foot into a yoga class this was a wonderful way to learn yoga. They go step-by-step through the very basic poses and you can slowly work your way up to some of the harder ones, going at your own pace. In just six weeks I've noticed a marked increase in my flexibility and my leg and arm muscles are definitely reforming. I've moved on to other videos as this is now a little slow moving for me but it was a great first video and I don't regret the purchase!

Finally!
If you want to be able to clip your own toenails when you're 85, this is the DVD for you.
Handy if you can't touch your toes
I actually planned on purchasing Yoga for Inflexible People but noticed that at least 45% of people viewing this item had decided to purchase Power Yoga instead. I thought that seemed odd but I thought - maybe everyone knows something I don't and if they can handle it so can I. I am pretty inflexible and have suffered through a few live yoga classes (I was the guy sitting on 3 stacked yoga blocks in the back).

Fun Fun Fun!
Not only fun to do but also a good/moderate work-out. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves to dance and wants to add some SPICE to their mundane work-out routine ... and to their love life!!

A different fun
I really liked this DVD. At first I was intimidated to buy something with the name like "striptease" but it was actually quite fun and I did feel a tad spicier when I was done. I did build up a sweat and thought it was quite fun to do. Carmen Electra explains everything in a fun way and gives you a demonstration first before continuing so there's an example of how to move. I thought she and the other two girls were quite sexy and she has a great attitude which makes me want to continue doing these.

User-friendly!!!
I love this dvd.It's very easy to use and you can pre-program what workout you want to do, depending on your time constraints, your own physical needs and level.
Love it!
This is a great workout for me, I just had a baby and need to tone up again. But I don't have a lot of time, so this is perfect. I can usually get in 2 10 min workouts in the morning while the baby sleeps or is having quiet time. I haven't worked out in many months, so it's great to be able to start at beginner! I am sore after the workouts, so I think thye are pretty effective. Looking forward to seeing some results ( I just started 3 days ago!)

L-O-V-E it!
I ordered this DVD with high expectations after reading all the reviews!I've got to tell you... it met all of them.You can choose an all Low level, Moderate level or high intensity workout (which includes abs and full body stretch) or you can truly customize your workout.The DVD lets you preset what level you want for every specific workout before you even start so that there aren't any interruptions between the chapters. I almost hate to admit it but... I choose the Low intensity workout starting out.I was sweating more than what I thought I would.I even still found some of the Abs and thigh exercises challenging!!I think that Denise is EXTREMEMLY motivational and can really help you keep up your momentum.I know many times I would remember to tighten my Abs while exercising with her catch phrase, "Zip up those Abs!!"

WOW!!!
I have done pilates in the past but nothing quite like this. I am in the process of preparing my body for pregnancy. I found this DVD to be great for that! During the first workout I used muscles that I never even knew I had. I'll be using this pilates workout throughout my pregnancy. Best Pilates DVD Ever!!!!

Genuine Pilates for pregnancy
I'm a Pialtes Instructor and have been teaching for a year now. I am 16 weeks pregnant and wanted to know more about prenatal pilates. My experience with pregnancy and Pilates was very limited and looked to books and DVD's for ideas and this DVD was GREAT. All the exercises were basic core Pilates moves and the modifications were right on. I felt no danger to myself or the baby while feeling the challenge and rewards.

Fit-Tastistic

Not happy with this product. I wanted this version for the hip-hop section.Cardio workout? No, just Carmen Electra trying too hard to look sexy but bopping around like a fool. She has no talent and appears uncoordinated (she has a dance background). The instructional part on the hip-hop is not to bad-a bit simple (could have added a few more moves to learn)-the actual workout is a joke(not long enough to gain any real benefit). The lap-dance section-how do you get fit from that? The background music-boring and a tad old fashioned. Carmen Electra is so into herself instead of drawing in and including her audience. I am enjoying this workout!
I have one other Denise Austin video, and although she tends to annoy me, her other video was a great workout, so I thought I would try it.I really enjoyed it!It is a good, fun workout and its seems safe and moderate.I enjoy the fact that there are other women who are in various levels of their pregnancy, so there are modifications to it.I look forward to doing the 20 minute cardio section throughout my whole pregnancy and look forward to using both the trimester additional workouts.

Best Pregnancy DVD
I have tried most of the pregnancy DVD's out there and this by far is the best.It is not easy, but you do not feel over worked, but you do feel as though you have gotten a great work out.I did work out pre-pregnancy and felt as though the others were too easy.
