4-0 out of 5 stars Very different & very of its time but a great film none the less
I got to say I only ever seen Dirk as Face, Starbuck and in Alaska however this was an entirely different role and though First Blood literally stole this whole film.
4-0 out of 5 stars What's the Ruckus?
I saw this in the early 1980s. I beleive after I saw "First Blood" at theater and this as a video store rental, I then realized it came out pre-Stallone version. This version is family friendly as it has hardly anything near violence. Exceptional cast with Dirk Benedict, Linda Blair, Ben Johnson, Matt Clark, and others you will recognize. Mostly comical and plenty of action. It is more like watching the "Dukes of Hazzard" than "First Blood". I recommend you buy it immediately if you want the DVD as it seems the first editions are about sold out so it may go out of print for awhile since sales haven't been great because this is a sleeper of a movie. I mean that it is not well known, because half the junk coming out on DVD does put me to sleep, this movie is great fun to watch. I ordered my DVD since they only have a few copies left.
4-0 out of 5 stars GOOD, FUN ACTION FILM......
I HAVE TO SAY I ENJOYED THIS FILM,DIRK BENEDICT(FACEMAN) AND LINDA BLAIR(EXORCIST)CAME TOGETHER QUITE WELL IN THIS MOVIE.AS YOU MAY OR NOT KNOW BUT THIS FILM WAS THE ORIGINAL 'FIRST BLOOD'

4-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT AND UNDERRATED SUSPENSE FILM!
This film, "Trespass" is not only an excellent suspense film, which is highly underrated, but the acting in it is very good. Vince (Bill Paxton) and Don (William Sadler) give outstanding performances as two firemen from Arkansas who happen to come across a map while putting out a fire. The man they are attempting to save gives the map to Vince. When they take a look at the map, and accompanying newspaper clippings, they realize that the gold stolen is worth a fortune. They decide to head off to East St.Louis [a place I went through once and you wouldn't want to go there!] 4-0 out of 5 stars Great Movie, But Get The Newer DVD Version From Universal
The movie is exciting and works well, but look for the newer DVD release.

3-0 out of 5 stars "Trespass" DVD Review
Two Arkansas firefighters come across a map that leads them to stolen treasure in an East St. Louis tenament. Only problem is that within minutes of their arrival, they become witnesses to a murder and are boxed in by a team of trigger-happy thugs (led by Ice-T's "King James") who have no idea about the gold. The premise is simple but a solid cast and suberb execution courtesy of director Walter Hill make this more than just your standard urban thriller. Paxton turns in a likeable perfomance as the more good-hearted of the two fireman while Ice-T and Ice Cube play well off each other as two gangsters with rival agendas. The new Universal version of the DVD has a collection of deleted clips, a "making-of" featurette, and a music video so those who picked up the Goodtimes version may want to look into double dipping on this one. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars superb
I have piranhas and there was not a misfit piece of info in this entire documentory. Take it from a 13 year oldpiranha expert with three of his own, this is the best sorce for piranha info on all spieces.

3-0 out of 5 stars piranha's in the wild
basically this movie is a one hour documentary that looks like one of those shows you would see on the discovery channel or maybe in high school biology class. its not bad, but its not great. nothing suprised me in it. its scenes of the jungle while a narrator says something every few moments or so. if you think this video is something out of a horror film where the piranhas kill everything in sight then you will be disappointed. they only eat a catfish alive, everything else is already dead. if you own piranhas, like me, and can appreciate them, then buy this video. but if your just a regular person and want to see piranhas kill things then i wouldn't. the finish it up, this slow pace film is average and i think the producers got most of the footage by recording clips off the learning channel or maybe even animal planet with the crocodile hunter.

4-0 out of 5 stars Entertaining Yet Tragic!
I first watched this film back in 96' and I must admit that before I inserted the videotape into my VCR, I prejudged it thinking that it would be just another low-budget ghetto film of no substance whatsoever. I was wrong. For his feature film debut, Sharron Corley's acting was very good. Although his character isn't a far cry from the way he used to be in real-life, he definitely captured it. I singled him out because he's the main character.
5-0 out of 5 stars Very Helpful
I purchased this movie for my teenager son, hoping he could see the harsh reality of what could happen to him following the wrong crowd. This movie showed all the basics and then some.

5-0 out of 5 stars True to life flick
This is about urban life ever made. Nick Gomez carefully winds his tale into car thieves almost into greek tradgy. In the lead role as Jason, Shannon Corley shows great leading staus. Jason is played as a character who wants a better life but is caught up with the street life. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Thriller
Filmed in Scandinavia, Max Von Sydow, Per Oscarsson, and Liv Ullman are first rate in this psychological thriller. 4-0 out of 5 stars Near perfect thriller
This is an excellent European thriller, with a cast culled from both Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark) and England.4-0 out of 5 stars A slow moving tale of Gothic horror and murderous revenge
Any horror film starring Max von Sydow, Trevor Howard, Liv Ullmann and Andrew Keir has got to be worth a look and "The Night Visitor" is certainly deserving of a gander. The story is the brooding tale of Salem (von Sydow), a convict who wants revenge on his family, who had the gall to put him in an insane asylum after a brutal ax murder. Each night Salem sneaks out of the asylum to take vengeance on his accusers.Howard is the Inspector trying to catch-up with the murders.Based on Samuel Roeca's story, the script by Guy Elmes is fairly ingenious. This 1971 film was directed by Laszlo Benedek ("The Wild One," yes, the biker flick with Brando), and is certainly a bit slow moving at times, but it does have a couple of chilling moments. However, given the cast and the director, "The Night Visitor" is going to be something of a disappointment simply because you expect better from this bunch. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars The Original is Still A Classic
Joe Don Baker plays the part of Buford Pusser, a.k.a. Buford the Bull, a pro wrestler who is disenchanted with the crooked sport and who decides to settle down in his home town in rural Tennessee. Home is not the way he remembers it, though. There is a hint of corruption in the air.
3-0 out of 5 stars Inspiring story about a true hero - but shame on the DVD
Based on true events WALKING TALL's story concerns former marine and wrestler Buford PUSSER (great performance by Joe Don BAKER) returning to his rural Tennessee hometown with his wife and two kids. Soon after his arrival PUSSER runs into serious troubles, when an argument at the local watering hole/gambling joint/brothel over cheating at a dice game escalates and the baddies beat him to a pulp, use a switchblade on him, steal his station wagon and leave him for dead beside a country road. PUSSER is a very tough guy, though, and survives. Because the corrupt sheriff is not much help, he takes law into his own hands. Armed with a long thick wooden stick he returns to the baddies' establishment and deals out some good old DIY justice very generously. After being aquitted for assault charges and fed up with the corrupt local authorities he decides to run for sheriff to fight the backwood gangsters more efficiently. Our hero has to stand his ground, deal with an incompetent county judge and a traitor in the police force, survive several assassination attempts, find moonshine bootleggers (whose poisonous booze killed several thirsty blacks) and blow up their backyard distillery, while the local mob gets ever more ferocious at this brave man whom they can neither bribe nor kill...
4-0 out of 5 stars Enough is enough
This was one of my favorite movies as a teenager, and I still watch it when I can. This is what I would call a "good" action movie. It's full of violence, yes, but the violence is not the main feature of the film. The primary themes are decency, honor and community, and the lengths one must go to in their defense.

4-0 out of 5 stars Rambo meets Deliverance
"The Zero Boys" was one of the more creative slasher films of the 80's.A trio of Paint Ball players and their girlfriends are pursued by sinister forces at an isolated forest house. It seems somebody's been using the house as a torture chamber and our heroes don't intend on being the next victims.3-0 out of 5 stars GOOD AND BAD
This is another DVD Nico Mastorakis has "remastered" and put in his "2003 Collection."The image and sound quality is good.Others have mentioned different versions. The newest(and best?) has "2003 Collection" near the title on the cover. The acting in this film is generally bad with exceptions. The the story is generally good with exceptions. The ending did suprise me.4-0 out of 5 stars Scariest B-movie out there.
This has to be the scariest and best low budget, B-movie horror flick of all time. It starts out a bit slow, with some silly paintball action and sophomoric banter, but gets off and running quickly enough when they start their ride through the woods and one of them thinks they see a girl running amongst the trees.Later, the boys come across an empty house. They witness an unknown female getting murdered on the TV in the barn, knowing that it was filmed in the very spot they stood, just minutes before they got there. It's one of the most original and scary sequences in any horror film I've ever seen. Lots of other truly frightening scenes in this one.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not that great
This movie only gets 3 stars because several of the girls in it are extremely hot. However, the scenes are not that great. All you ever really get is boobie shots...love the boobies but this movie could have delivered so much more.
1-0 out of 5 stars Not really worth it...
It's not really worth it, because the version of the movie I got is edited. They've cut cut all the good sex scenes (which is why we buy it).I had the same thing happen to me with "The Price of Desire".They want to sell more movies, so they cut it down to make it a "R" movie rather than "NR".It is all a bunch of crap, because it's my money.
1-0 out of 5 stars don't bother
This is not as good as the other reviewers here on amazon make it out to be. Almost every aspect of it is poor. I wont mention the plot because there isn't one. Its just some guy goofing around on a very old computer with some very bad sex scences inter cut beween shots of him typing in a stupidly large font size. For a much better erotic movie get 'Victim of Desire' instead. If you do you will notice that 'Virtual Desire' has used some scenes of Julie Strain from 'Victim' as a filler in this one. Talk about scraping the barrel. Both are by

4-0 out of 5 stars "Tango" DVD is good for the money
I was very worried about getting a lousy DVD of THE EXTERMINATOR from Tango Entertainment, but luckily my fears were unfounded. The DVD is about as spare as you can get.No trailer, no chapters (!!!), nothing but a menu whose only option is "Play Movie."But the image is clean and clear, in the proper aspect ratio, and is the uncut version with the full beheading and meat grinder scenes.Which is literally all I wanted from it.By industry standards its a piece of junk (not enhanced, not remastered, no extras), but if all you have access to is an old VHS rental (like I did), this is a big step up.I only paid $9 and I am very happy with it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Flame Out for "The Exterminator"?.
Having still in my posession an original vhs of the movie, totally uncut, and worn out I might add,it was with much anticipation that I opened my recently released Directors Cut of The Exterminator dvd here in Australia, expecting to see once again, those intermittent, believably, gory scenes, albeit mixed in with a sometimes slow plot and totally unneccessary love affair between Christopher George and Samantha Eggar,in a new digital masterpiece.But..scenes were cut out, none others added, as stated on the cover, the print was 1980's poor ( by today's standards),and the sound was low quality. Lets get this movie digitally re-edited and remastered properly, by somebody who knows how,and let The Exterminator live on in style.

2-0 out of 5 stars I GIVE UP !!!!!WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE THIS MOVIE A PROPER RELEASE!!!
Ok I thought the Anchor Bay re-release of this film a few years ago would be the LAST and final time this FANTASTIC movie would see the light of day. Then only last month I find out that TANGO? Entertainment has slated to release this film and it has been digitally REMASTERED!!!SWEET.I then read that this will ONLY be available FULLSCREEN not in Widescreen. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!! So today the disc arrives. The packaging is super cheap and nothing to it.However I NEVER judge a disc on that. So i pop the disc in...well Yeah HURRAY it is in WIDESCREEN HOWEVER THIS HAS NOT BEEN REMASTERED!!!!!!!!It is exactly the same poor print Anchor Bay was shoving in our faces. So these guys pick up ther print from Anchor Bay and slap it in a new box. Check out the Green Background scenes AND the Rooftop scenes (always a good point to see those nicks and scratches)This is pathetic. This film MORE than deserves a proper release. If you OWN the Anchor Bay cut of this then keep it and skip this. If not then pick it up. I am only giving this dvd 2 starts due to the fact that I am only pleased to see it back out and about. Even if has been done POORLY so. ... Read more
