5-0 out of 5 stars I'd rate it as 10 stars
The eight season of South Park is truly funny my favorites are Good time with weapons,(talking about poking your eye out with a weapon) passion of the jew(cartman antics)and Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset(love how they protray paris hilton)
5-0 out of 5 stars Totally worth the money, if only for one moment in the mini-commentaries
I absolutely adore this show, and the often misunderstood genius of Trey Parker, who writes more than the bulk of the shows, so you can imagine that my admiration just increased when in the commentary for the PETA/VOTE OR DIE episode Trey Parker, after, along with Matt Stone, talking about how, after a comment made in Rolling Stone dismissing voting and the letter that actor Sean Penn sent the two, being his typical pompous self-important, photo hungry "I CARE ABOUT PEOPLE AND HATE BUSH", informing them of the negative effects of their comment, and how they should vote to get Bush out of office, Parker refers to him as, simply put, a f*g.
5-0 out of 5 stars Good season...
I was always a fan of South Park, and this season had nothing sort of funny moments as well as times when you wonder just what is really going on in the world today. This 3 disk set comes with 14 episodes. The episodes include:

5-0 out of 5 stars Classic animation from the Pixar factory!!! This 2-DVD Collector's Edition rules!!!
This is an awesome movie and an awesome 2-DVD set from Disney/Pixar Home Entertainment!!! Includes the classic movie in BOTH Widescreen and Full Frame formats, so everyones happy!!! Also includes a "tankfull" of extras to "dive" into!!! This is absolute classic animation!!! Fun for the whole family!!! Two thumbs up!!! Five stars!!! A+

5-0 out of 5 stars Finding Nemo is a great "catch" for the whole family
Pixar Studios have done it again. I have to say that these guys are totally good in computer animation, as well as in storytelling. Rarely do those qualities come together but here they are, delivering unto the audience once again something that one can only be drowned with wonder. Such is the marvel of Finding Nemo.
5-0 out of 5 stars A really great movie!!!
I really loved this movie. I have watched it over and over again. I have never gotten sick of it. It makes me laugh and cry all in the same DVD. This movie is a must for all kids and adult kids too. Ellen's role is just great!!! It fits her to a tee. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I love The Simpsons
What's to say about a show that I have followed since it first air on television? I love The Simpsons plain and simple.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best...Season...Ever...!
Simply put, every episode a classic. From Mr. Sparkle to the Milhouse divorce, from Frank Grimes to Little Lisa Slurry, it's hard to find fault with what I consider the show's most amazing season ever.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another great, well-thought out, feature packed DVD set!One very minor complaint.
If you have the last couple of Simpsons' Seasons DVD sets, nothing has changed.Still has all the great features (i.e.: bonus material)

5-0 out of 5 stars Pure gold
I havent bought this yet, but as a longtime fine I've seen them on TV and they are gold. Full of comedic wit and great lines. I loved theMarry Poppins spoof, as well as "Homer They Fall" Where they spook "Rocky"

4-0 out of 5 stars Great pack
I love this seasion but the packaging could be better, I got cut with my copy of it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Query about problems on disc one
Has anyone had any problems with the animator's commentary in the special section on disc one?I bought the Maggie Simpson head box set and found that the commentary skips through this section.I initially thought it was a bad disc so I got an exchange for a different set and its happened again in the replaced box set.I tried playing it on my laptop dvd player and it would not play though that section! So I am wondering if its a problem with the batch that was released.Would love to know if the said same problem occurs in the disc one of the regular box set.I sent a query to Fox but have not heard back from them as of 082106. Would hope to hear from others who have purchased this disc set. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars please...
Anyone offended or disgusted needs to get a grip and any losers seeking a tribute to those wonderful Gerry Anderson kid shows theye watched back in the 1960's need to climb back in their hole, take their bible, and go watch Davey and Goliath or something. The creators of South Park are proud to not belike those 60's kid shows, that was the point. Fans of South Park and fans of smart, ADULT humor will enjoy this.
2-0 out of 5 stars Could have been a great movie, but....
Team America had all the ingredients for a really great movie. By utilizing the Supermarionation-style puppetry and merging it with pop culture and political satire, it could have been the most original movie of the year. Unfortunately, Trey Parker and Matt Stone seem to be addicted to vulgarity, and the flurry of f-words in their theatrical films would have made Richard Pryor blush. The few clever satirical points they made were overshadowed by the foul language, graphic sex, and gratuitous violence that was peppered all over the film. I was particularly turned off by the ridiculously long puking scene, as well as the homosexual encounter between Gary and his boss.

2-0 out of 5 stars This Compilation makes me want to steal these episodes on-line from now on.
First they put out all of these tapes and dvds with scattered episodes with no rhyme or reason. Then they finally get it right and start doing it season by season. Now they are going back to the smattering of various episodes with the chance to own the gay Tom Cruise episode earlier and the pilot. I have to agree with the critics on here... I am a fan but I think it's time for them to start releasing the seasons faster rather than give us these redundant compilations.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great set
Ive watched South Park since it first began. I think the newer seasons like 6-9 are much better then the previous seasons. This set might be a money making scam, but I dont own any seasons of South Park. All the epsiodes on this dvd set is from season four and on (sorry fans if im wrong about this, im sure you'll correct me) and Im sure more fans will point this out in futher reviews. The only problem I had with the set is why is the curse words still edited out? I dont see the point of releasing a set on dvd if its edited. All in all, a great set with a few epsiodes that I enjoy missing. A great buy if your a causal fan of the show, not a die hard fan.

2-0 out of 5 stars Its all about the money...
This release is just to milk the series and make more $$ for Matt and Trey and of course Comedy Central.

1-0 out of 5 stars Sound Problems
I returned this item for a refund and won't be buying it again until Paramount fixes the sound issues.Parts of the show are very quiet; I had to turn the sound up to even make out the dialog. Then, a loud part comes on and almost blows my speakers. This happens multiple times per episode.Repeat this for six hours. If I wanted this kind of quality, I'd just download the episodes off the Internet. There will be a gap in my collection until this is fixed.I don't know why they can't pay someone $5.15 an hour to watch the DVD once before they make 10 million copies.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Thoroughly Great Season
Has anyone NOT seen these?Everyone probably should.
5-0 out of 5 stars My Favorite season, A riot to watch, the must have season

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow
Great semi-animated film about lucid dreams and the meaning of consciousness. It really makes you think about life and philospohy through a number of perspectives.I honestly can't even explain it, it's too complex. See it, it's wonderful

5-0 out of 5 stars This is one of my top three favorite movies!
I absolutely love this movie. It's one of the most worth-watching movies you will ever see. It's only for those who like to expand their minds and think outside the box. Amazing. I recommend this to everyone.

4-0 out of 5 stars Brilliant! A triumph, but sometimes it falls short
An amazing movie, truely, the philosophy in it are almost impossible to just simply forget and it makes you think about life in a new way. Basically its like a college course about psychology in about two hours. Although at some point or another it just fell short. Some of the actors chosen where magnificent! Giving a great performance for such a hard subject that they had to express from their character. All the others...well, it didn't even seem like they were trying to act at all!! I remember some part in the film where a character was mumbling, and I couldn't even understand him, so much for philosophy that part of the movie. Besides that I found the score for the movie just boring, and didn't strike any emotion in me at all. The animation used on top of the actual picture, I thought, was a billiant thing, to make more of a dream. But unfortunately that too can be a tad bit annoying. The buildings swaying in the background add more for it to seem like a dream, but while everything is shifting in the background, you can get distracted from the characters that are RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU ... 5-0 out of 5 stars TERRIFICENTERTAINMENT -- GREAT VOICE WORK BY SACHA BARON COHEN
The best DVD thing about MADAGASCAR besides the hip and funny zoo guys goingwild, the witty story, great character design, ultra-sharp wonderfully hued transfer and the cool commentary by the scene-stealing penguins is the absolutely brilliant voice work by Sacha Baron Cohen. Too bad he's not featured on the extras.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best children's movie I've ever seen
I've been wondering how to let Dreamworks know how much I have enjoyed watching Madagascar. My grandson and I have watched it at least a hundred times and, seriously, I never tire of it. There's something new I catch every time. We've made a game of learning the names of ALL the characters. This movie is so cleverly done, I smile just at the thought. It is downright amusing. I can't thank the makers enough for my countless hours of enjoyment. p.s. How clever were you to use the name of the town in Madagascar on the beach at "San Diego!"

5-0 out of 5 stars another most EXCELLENT season of The Simpsons
This is really a very funny season. We find out who really shot Mr. Burns, There is a really good treehouse episode, there are LOADS of guest stars, and not to mention, it is VERY funny. Makes me laugh everytime I watch it, A must have for any fan of the Simpsons.

3-0 out of 5 stars The end of my love for the Simpsons
I remember it well. It was my junior year of college, and my entire floor loved the Simpsons. We watched it every Sunday, as well as every day in syndication. When this season started, I was bit disappointed (as I think most people were)at the ending of Who Shot Mr. Burns. But who cares, right? It was the Simpsons. And with Radioactive Man, Bart Sells His Soul, ect, it seemed like it was going to be a good season. And then came Lisa the Vegetarian. I remember being disappointed. And from what I recall, apart from Team Homer, the rest of the season was pretty lame (by Simpson's standards). And it never did get better.
5-0 out of 5 stars When the Simpsons were still King
Great purchase, great season. Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming, King Size Homer, Lisa The Iconoclast, The Summer of 4'2", Homerpalooza, they're all hilarious.

When a mail-order apprentice witch (Angela Lansbury) is saddled with three sibling refugees from London during World War II, the outlook is grim. But the kids soon discover her secret and sign on for adventure in the name of England. With the aid of a magical bed, they track down her fraudulent headmaster (David Tomlinson) to find the spell that will aid the Allies. Fascinated that she has actually achieved results with his lessons, he joins forces. The quintet does battle with corrupt booksellers, animated-lion royalty, and, eventually, invading Germans. Songs include Lansbury's Oscar-nominated "The Age of Not Believing." This film is often compared to director Robert Stevenson's earlier effort, Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My Daughter is Addicted to this movie.
Bedknobs gets 5 stars because it's one of my daughter's favorites. It gets played over and over again. It's a simple magical story with silly songs. I don't quite understand why this movie is so special to daughter. She is autistic and one thing I know about her tastes is that she gets bored very easily with contrived, canned entertainment. If it comes from the heart, she really takes it to her heart. Maybe the ensemble that put together this movie had a lot of fun doing it and she picks up on that. She prefers it over Mary Poppins and much prefers it over Chitty-Chitty Bang Bang

4-0 out of 5 stars Is this version117 Minutes or 139 Minutes?

4-0 out of 5 stars Angela Lansbury Shines as a Witch
This movie is one of those family charmers that has something for everyone. There is an exciting animated portion for the children. There is a love story for the ladies. And there is a battle with World War II Germans for guys of all ages.Tying all these different aspects together is a wonderful concept; Angela Lansbury is a mail-order witch!

5-0 out of 5 stars South Park.. a decade old and still full steam ahead.
First thing, WHO said "Jarred Has Aides" wasn't a great episode? In fact I believe it to be one of the FUNNIEST of its particular season. Although, this season which has some fantastic episodes the subsequent 2 seasons are EVEN stronger, but this is a great followup to season 5.. with only a few.. well no real flat out duds, there's always SOMETHING in there.. but it doesn't quite stack up to the seasons around it.
5-0 out of 5 stars THERE IS NO BETTER SEASON
As a HUGE south park fan I feel that out of all the seasons there is none which can compare to this one, every episode is brilliant, buy it now!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Season when South Park started getting REALLY good!
Jared Has Aides: (4.5/5) Great episode to start off the season!

5-0 out of 5 stars Disney does its magic!
Another Disney classic just like Pocahondas, Shrek, Snow white, Alandin and Lion King. These are cartoon figures and films that are never forgoten.

2-0 out of 5 stars The legend reworked...
To be fair, the legends of Herakles, as they were originally written, have little to do with this movie, but maybe that's for the best.Having grown up on Superman, Batman and the Justice League, I have a hard time calling a person like Herakles a hero.In the original legends, he was a warrior, but also a brute who eventually wound up killing his wife and children in a fit of rage.He also wasn't, as far as I can tell, as strong as in this version.
5-0 out of 5 stars Good Fun - the Kids and I Liked It
This is a great show and very entertaining. The story isn't the Greek classic, but it's a fine riff on it.The songs are good, and they grow on you as you watch.I take issue with the reviewer who thought there was gratuitous sexuality in the Meg character - it's just a cartoon, for pete's sake.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!
every episode on this season is a classic! the extras are really great too, especially the cut scenes from the episodes and the Springfield's Most Wanted bit that aired with john walsh before the who shot mr. burns conclusion. the commentary tracks are great. highly recommend this product

5-0 out of 5 stars excellent
Product was in great condition. I got the product quickly and was very satisfied.

5-0 out of 5 stars Simply brilliant television!
In season six of "The Simpsons," the show was finally, having been put fully into motion in season five, on its way into "classic television" territory.Season six is certainly one of the best all-around seasons of the show (five and seven being the other candidates), and I recommend it very highly to fans of "The Simpsons" that started watching it before season nine (when it all fell apart)... ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Season Two:More and More Snores
Even when they regularly borrow material from the Simpsons, the laughs are few and far betweenon South Park. But the award for the worst episode is when Kenny dies. Get animation on the cutting edge; buy a Family Guy DVD.
5-0 out of 5 stars This was definitly one of the best South Park seasons
This season has brought a lot of funny moments. Chef's salty chocolate balls, many guest stars (who actually lend their voices) were on here like Joe Strummer (of the Clash), Ozzy Osbourne, Elton John, Rancid, and many others, Chicken Lover, the introduction of Tweek, and many more. I actually have the Warner Bros version of this set (along with the 1st season) and although I can't skip a chapter, it does have subtitles. If you are new to South Park, this is the way to go.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another funny season!
The second season opens with Matt and Trey explaining why they ran "Terrance and Phillip in Not without my Anus" on April Fools day rather then the conclusion to the episode about who is Cartman's father.

Editorial Review

William Steig's delightfully fractured fairy tale is the right stuff for this computer-animated adaptation full of verve and wit. Our title character (voiced by Mike Myers) is an agreeable enough ogre who wants to live his days in peace. When the diminutive Lord Farquaad (John Lithgow) evicts local fairy-tale creatures (including the now-famous Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, and the Gingerbread Man), they settle in the ogre's swamp and Shrek wants answers from Farquaad. A quest of sorts starts for Shrek and his new pal, a talking donkey (Eddie Murphy), where battles have to be won and a princess (Cameron Diaz) must be rescued from a dragon lair in a thrilling action sequence. The story is stronger than most animated fare, but it's the humor that makes Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Two words Donkey--'Shut'....'Up'
Perhaps one of the best all around movie out there, animated or not. The chemistry between Donkey and Shrek is hysterical.
5-0 out of 5 stars TERRIFIC FAMILY FILM THAT HOLDS EVERYBODYS' INTEREST
FIRST IMPRESSIONS -- If one were to imagine a happy ending where 'Belle' from 'BEAUTY & THE BEAST' became a beast in the end rather than the beast becoming a Prince, one can get an idea of what Shrek is all about.
5-0 out of 5 stars Charming fun from an unexpected hero
Whereas Pixar always focused on good, clean family fun in its pictures, Shrek came into the spotlight because Dreamworks decided to skew the jokes a little more towards the older audience, while maintaing the basic family-friendly atmosphere. It worked, and Shrek was the film that proved it didn't take Disney/Pixar to create animated box-office gold.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Good Simpsons Season
This Is Another good season
5-0 out of 5 stars Even better the first season!
I believe this season is a better then the first with better improved animation and more better storylines as the Simpsons still continued on their parade of popularity as TV's most long-running animated series ever! featuring the guest voices of Danny Devito, Ringo Starr, Harvey Firestein,Alex Rocco, Larry King, Jon Lovitz, Phil Hartman, Tracey Ullman, Cloris Leachman, and an uncredited Dustin Hoffman.
5-0 out of 5 stars great satire, well chosen satiric targets, a great season
Once upon a time, I was a dedicated Simpsons viewer, starting with the short clips on the Tracy Ullman Show. I was also a fan of Matt Groening's comic strip "Life in Hell," which I remember reading while living in Madison, WI, and seeing that these strips revealed painful though hilarious truths. Groening's satire cut like a razor. And how could one not love a cartoon series that would annoy the "family values" lobby. As former president George H. W. Bush once said, "We're going to keep trying to strengthen the American family. To make them more like The Waltons and less like The Simpsons." Little did he realize that this was bestowing a badge of honor on this series.
