Over the Hedge is a really cute movie.
I wasn`t aware that `Over the Hedge' is based on a comic strip. I've never seen it, but I can only imagine that it would be just as good as the film, if not better. And while it's not an astonishment, I can say that Hedge is genuinely enjoyable, and great fun for everyone.
Why So Short?
I rented this on DVD Tuesday, 10/18/2006 from Blockbuster.Arriving home, I immediately popped it in my Family Room DVD player and started playing it for my son and daughter!My son loved it!It was cute, funny, and full of Chipmunk cheer!I thought CJ was adorable!

ok, so it's meant for kids, but..........
i usually like these kinds of movies. i enjoy the santa clause movies, finding nemo, ya know, kid targeted films. and this one started out with so much promise, but fell flat on its face when they tried to incorporate the story too much. Billy Connolly did the best he could with what he was given. but i gotta say myer and hewitt and even odie, yes, odie, should be left out altogether. UNLESS, they too are cgi. because here is the problem. for kids that are new to garfield, they probably won't care, but for kids like me (and i'm 30), i grew up with garfield as my favorite comic strip. i watched the xmas special and i'm used to everyone in the comic having that certain big eyed, cartoony look to them. here, all you have is garfield that resembles anything from the comic strip. odie, while being a cute dog, IS A REAL DOG! ok, i have to go, so here's my point: make the entire cast CGI and take some of the stories from the comic strip and you could have a seriously long running franchise that will actually be enjoyable. i give it the 2 stars because the team of animators for garfield did EXCELLENT work. the rest of the cast is as annoying as nermal....

A Tale of TWO Big Fat Cats -- Better Than the Original
In spite of its underwhelming results on the US box-office, the second live-action `Garfield' is better than the first one made only two year before. CGI of the titular cat has become more refined, and the voice acting of Bill Murray is spot-on as ever. Interjection...HEY! This Is Great For Kids!
Are you a parent now that remembers these from your childhood and you're asking yourself, "Could Schoolhouse Rock! possibly still be as captivatingly educational as it was in the 70s?" or perhaps you're saying to yourself, "These are so dated my kids would never stay tuned." Let's put it this way...This is one of my kids' most requested DVDs (ages three through seven), and they walk around the house singing about nouns, the branches of the government, counting by 5s, electricity and the National 'Tyrannosaurus' Debt.
Entertaining, Educational, and a Touch of Nostalgia
Those of us who grew up as kids in the 80's will remember watching these short animation clips on TV, accompanied by catchy music and memorable lyrics. These cartoonish music videos that lasted less than five minutes somehow managed to teach us concepts that required dedicated lesson plans in school. This is the essence of Schoolhouse Rock.

The eight season of South Park is truly funny my favorites are Good time with weapons,(talking about poking your eye out with a weapon) passion of the jew(cartman antics)and Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset(love how they protray paris hilton)
Totally worth the money, if only for one moment in the mini-commentaries
I absolutely adore this show, and the often misunderstood genius of Trey Parker, who writes more than the bulk of the shows, so you can imagine that my admiration just increased when in the commentary for the PETA/VOTE OR DIE episode Trey Parker, after, along with Matt Stone, talking about how, after a comment made in Rolling Stone dismissing voting and the letter that actor Sean Penn sent the two, being his typical pompous self-important, photo hungry "I CARE ABOUT PEOPLE AND HATE BUSH", informing them of the negative effects of their comment, and how they should vote to get Bush out of office, Parker refers to him as, simply put, a f*g.

Xcellent show, Defective edition
Ill be very brief for those who already know about the show itself. Episodes are some of the best from the whole DC animated universe, specially the last 5 ones. Great show, great drama and action, you cant miss it for anything in the world. HOWEVER, this edition has NO extras on the episodes from the 2nd season (Warner Video decided to merge season 1 and 2 into 1 only for this release), so all the extras are about the first 13 episodes (season 1). Also, altho this set comes with english, spanish and french dubds, this set wont come with ANY subtitles. They decided to change the spanish dubs on the 2nd and 3rd season so its quite awkard after so many time having the same cast. Besides that, art covers and menu covers are outdated and most of the art uses art from previous shows (aka JL, not JLU). No chapter stops as well.
Excellent series. Flawed edition. Thanks again Warner !

Best Superhero TV Show Ever Made...
From the WWII episode at the end of "Justice League" Season One all the way through to the Last episode of "Justice League Unlimited" there are very, very few bad moments. As a lifelong comic book (and especially DC) fan who has waited all his life for someone to finally DO IT RIGHT, I have been awed since episode 1 of Batman: The Animated Series, through Superman: The Animated Series, through Batman Beyond, through Static Shock, through Justice League, and all the way to the end of JLU. That being the case I am simply amazed and apalled at some of the reviews on this page. No market for some of these characters? Like Booster Gold? Have you even been paying attention to the DC stories since Identity Crisis? Booster was an interesting way to tell a story, though different than those of the other heroes. He was a used car salesman that later found it within himself to pull it together, avenge his lost friends, and allow the new post-crisis age to happen. And his episode of JLU was priceless; (not to mention that it featured "Elongated Man" talking about "Plastic Man"!).

Pokemon Lacario and the Mystery of Mew
Pokemon Lacario and the Mystery of Mew is so cool. Ash finds a new Pokemon in a cave. Ash, May, Max and Brock find a new cool cave. It's so hot in the cave. In the cave they find three new Pokemon called Regaice Regasteel Regarock. They are ledgendary.I did't like the part when the Pokemon were controlled. I liked the new Pokemon in the movie and my brother liked the movie too.

Cool. Best Pokemon Movie Eva.
The start was a tiny bit slow but the rest of the movie was great. The movie had Lucario a brand new Pokemon plus a old Pokemon (Mew) there were 3 other never before seen Pokemon. It had a great bonus feature. A Mew card, a comic and another free DVD of a TV special "The Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon" This Is a great DVD. Movie 5/5 Value 5/5 Features 5/5Best one eva!

Outstanding value, two movies for the price of one!
This DVD set is a great buy. I'm glad I was able to get Master of Mirage Pokemon on DVD. I had wanted to see it again but didn't think I would be able to buy the DVD since I do not approve of the new voice-actors. But Master of Mirage Pokemon came "free" with Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, so I couldn't be happier.

How do I play The Royal LIfe ?
I love the movie! I just have one problem. I can't seem to be able to play The Royal Life from Disc 2? I put it in my computer and clicked on The Royal Life and it just gives me a summary of what it's about and then tells me to insert the dvd-rom. Does someone know how to do this?

Disney made its mark as a major studio in 1937 with its first full-length feature film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Disney's 1992 animated feature is a triumph of wit and skill. The high-tech artwork and graphics look great, the characters are strong, the familiar story is nicely augmented with an interesting villain (Jafar, voiced by Jonathan Freeman), and there's an incredible hook atop the whole thing: Robin Williams's frantically hilarious vocal performance as Aladdin's genie. Even if one isn't particularly moved by the love story between the title character (Scott Weinger) and his girlfriend Jasmine (Linda Larkin), you can easily get lost in Williams's improvisational energy and the equally entertaining performances of Freeman and Gilbert Gottfried (as Jafar's parrot). The Most Romantic of All Disney Films
I fell in love with this movie when I was little, back in 1955 when "Lady and the Tramp" first came to the theaters, and am probably one of the few who can actually remember seeing the promo show, "The Story of Dogs" on the old Disneyworld TV series from the early 50's.I actually had the rare privildge of being taken twice!To this day, it remains my all-time favorite Disney film, favorite dog film, and continues to charm, amuse, and move me to tears.
Romantic Comedy Goes to the Dogs

Excellent DVD
I can't say enough good things about this DVD.My son started watching this at about 2 1/2 and he knew the letters and their sounds in a few weeks.Now that he is about to be 3, he still uses the sounds and the sayings from the DVD whenever he sees a particular letter.I have recommended this one to all my friends and family.

Still watching after over a year
My now 4 year old son and 2 1/2 daughter love this video and I even enjoy it from time to time.They sometimes actually request it over other favorites.When we are outside playing or gardening, we'll sing the song that goes along with the video for extra practice on which letters make which sounds and my son does really good.My daughter however loses interest quickly and goes off to play with something else.Leap Frog has done it again!

Why do they do this????
Why didn't they release this version the same time as the non-limited edition? I just bought the original movie release. If I had known about this upcoming version, I might have waited.
Eh...
Some would say I am a pretty big FMA fan.From the pocketwatch to clothing to even seeing a bootleg version of this movie about 11 months ago.I must say that I was disappointed.The ending of the movie ruined the WHOLE FMA series for me.I don't want to put in any spoilers (and I won't) but the entire movie was good up until that ending.It's happy in a sense but just wrong, way off track, and bad for the cannon.

First of all, if you by any chance read the reveiw in which someone called this movie pro-Nazi propoganda and such... that's so untrue.The only sane reasoning would be that they didn't watch the whole movie, because, duh, the Nazis ARE pretty much the bad guys, after all.That's like saying Silence of the LAmbs promotes canibalism, or whatever.Anyhoo...

This is an awesome movie and an awesome 2-DVD set from Disney/Pixar Home Entertainment!!! Includes the classic movie in BOTH Widescreen and Full Frame formats, so everyones happy!!! Also includes a "tankfull" of extras to "dive" into!!! This is absolute classic animation!!! Fun for the whole family!!! Two thumbs up!!! Five stars!!! A+

Finding Nemo is a great "catch" for the whole family
Pixar Studios have done it again. I have to say that these guys are totally good in computer animation, as well as in storytelling. Rarely do those qualities come together but here they are, delivering unto the audience once again something that one can only be drowned with wonder. Such is the marvel of Finding Nemo.

Wonderful, warm trip down memory lane!
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a charming and playful Halloween story that adults and kids will love. Bing Crosby's smooth tones are the perfect accompaniment for this old-fashionied cartoon - perfect for snuggling under the covers on a dark, rainy night! I absolutely loved it as a 7-year-old kid and I am thrilled to share it with my little boy.

The eleventh animated Disney masterpiece is a winner
I recently reviewed "Fun and Fancy Free," released just two years before this film.Walt Disney tried the same thing in that film that he did in this film; he combined two shorts into one release.Unfortunately, the technique did not work well in "Fun and Fancy Free."The technique worked very well in this feature.

A Tale As Old As Time Done Right
Beauty and the Beast may well be the very best animated film Disney ever produced. The characterizations of the leads are great as we have the sweet book loving Belle and the the flawed but totally redeemable "Beast".Gaston and Belle's father are also well drawn and memorable as are the comic relief bearing "enchanted" servants at the castle. There's something for everyone as the story is so romantic it leaves a lot of grown up ladies sighing, the bad guys are not too scary for the little ones and for the rest it is just a great tale.Plus Beauty and the Beast has some of the best songs ever written for a Disney production.No wonder the Broadway musical hasbeen such a hit as well.

Tied for first for best Disney feature
I must've been about 10 when I first saw the Lion King and I was practically floored. Those catchy-for-their-own-good songs, the animation(well, me now talking) and that wildebeast stampede. The other one is Beauty and the Beast which for the life of me I can't remember seeing when I was young yet loved every minute of it. Revisiting it now I still love it and on one hand seeing it as a landmark in Disney's catalogue but also one in a series of films that marked a brief creative comeback.

Great tool in helping your little one to read...
If you're thinking of buying this DVD for your 4 or 5 year old DON'T HESITATE!!! This video will be a blessing to your little one. I'm a homeschooling mom and this video has 'turned-on' the light to pre-reading for my [...] year old. I don't like to use the TV as a 'baby sitter' but when I do, this is what I run to. My son has started reading at 4 and I give all the credit to this video! He can point to a letter and make it's sound, then does the same for another two letters and then he puts the sounds together! He can read the words NO, YES, BED, CAT, DOG, MIX, and some others as well. It's just amazing...not only that, but it keeps him entertained too and it's totally clean!!! Buy this DVD and it will help your little one overcome the challenges in pre-reading.

These video's are incredible.My [...] is writing out words already... at [...]!My [...] also loves this video.We started the older one at 2 watching "Letter Factory", and as he learned the alphabet he also learned the sounds each letter made.He loves showing off to friends how much he knows.I reccomend the whole video series to anyone with kids ages 1 to 7.

I love The Simpsons
What's to say about a show that I have followed since it first air on television? I love The Simpsons plain and simple.

Best...Season...Ever...!
Simply put, every episode a classic. From Mr. Sparkle to the Milhouse divorce, from Frank Grimes to Little Lisa Slurry, it's hard to find fault with what I consider the show's most amazing season ever.

Another great, well-thought out, feature packed DVD set!One very minor complaint.

Pure gold
I havent bought this yet, but as a longtime fine I've seen them on TV and they are gold. Full of comedic wit and great lines. I loved theMarry Poppins spoof, as well as "Homer They Fall" Where they spook "Rocky"

Query about problems on disc one
Has anyone had any problems with the animator's commentary in the special section on disc one?I bought the Maggie Simpson head box set and found that the commentary skips through this section.I initially thought it was a bad disc so I got an exchange for a different set and its happened again in the replaced box set.I tried playing it on my laptop dvd player and it would not play though that section!So I am wondering if its a problem with the batch that was released.Would love to know if the said same problem occurs in the disc one of the regular box set.I sent a query to Fox but have not heard back from them as of 082106. Not an ideal choice for younger kids, this hip and violent animated feature from Disney was nevertheless a huge smash in theaters and on video, and it continues to enjoy life in an acclaimed Broadway production. The story finds a lion cub, son of a king, sent into exile after his father is sabotaged by a rivalrous uncle. The little hero finds his way into the "circle of life" with some new friends and eventually comes back to reclaim his proper place. Characters are very strong, vocal performances by the likes of Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, and Whoopi Goldberg are terrific, the jokes are aimed as much (if not more) at adults than kids, the animation is sometimes breathtaking, and the music is more palatable than in many Disney features. Monarchies tend to create dysfunctional families.
Disney's "The Lion King" is a pretty good movie about a young lion cub, named Simba, who is to become king of a place called Pride Rock located in the appropriately named Pride Lands. I always thought that the part where Simba's father, Mufasa, is killed by his brother, Scar, was kind of tough to watch. On the other hand, from a historical standpoint, scenarios like these were at some point a commoplace reality, all because of an intense desire for power. The most memorable part of the film is the scene where Scar turns on the hyenas, to whom he'd referred as the "real enemy," then tries to make up with them right afterwards by calling them his "friends." The best part was the subsequent reaction by the hyenas to his double crossing.

this movie was incredable. i don't understand how people can dislike this film. this movie's deep and intense story made it great for children AND their parents, a feat rarely accomplished. but rather than stay depressing and traumatizing, this film goes from drama to side-splitting humor within 13 seconds. the best part is that this is all done with seemless perfection.
